I don't think anyone's mentioned Rob Papen Predator. This is one of the few synths that has a dedicated fx unit with audio pass through. It actually works and has a dedicated Fx preset bank.
Love the verb and all the other fx on this synth, plus you get a kick a$$ synthesizer also.

PSP Easyverb is very underrated and at the current price of $29 you can't go far wrong.

Be sure to log in if you have any other psp plugs. I got it for like $21.
Don't think it will take over send duty (valhallaroom for that) but it's great for throwing on as an insert - very fast to dial in and light on cpu.

This is why I love Lexicon LXP.
It just sits better in the mix without having to tweak it very much. It glues itself to the dry track, for lack of a better word.
