How do you use AAS Strum Electric?

I've had trouble using both strum electric and string studio, with
hi gain amp sims.All internal effects,reverb,distortion cab sims are off.
When a note ends, I either get a thud or a harmonic.I ' tweaked various settings, such as decay time.

I find Strum Electric to be very noisy when running through Guitar Rig 5. For me it's the initial thud when I play a chord. I know it's simulating the sound of the pick hitting the strings, but it's too much. Is there a way to tone it down or remove it completely?

under pick/finger; tweak the position and edge knobs.also try rolling off some bottom, with an eq, before guitar rig.
