all new monophonic synthesiser
why monophonic, why?
In what circumstance would you have polyphonic dubstep wobble? :?
Nice One  !
Even if it's aimed at dubstep, why restrict it to it. Say I wana play base but in poly.

Yes, why monophonic indeed?

The video game is a bit gadgety but it does serve a purpose so I can't give it a demerit.
OMG, I just happened to discover the video game! That was trippy and I haven't smoked weed in years. It was a nice little break from sound mangeling.

For those who don't know, click the Cyclops guy.

Anyway to get the documentation without installing the 30 day demo? I'd like to read the manual..

I don't get the hype about this - apart from most presets being overloaded at +6dB (WOW, sounds so huge) this synth sounds rather average, harsh and crappy to my ears. Maybe Stubdeppers understand the hype better or make some more. Reminds me a bit of Reaktor's Lazerbass, but that sounds better.
Fancy GUI, that's about it...IMHO - I'm passing on this one, demo uninstalled.

I really really like the sync sounds on this one. It goes so high and peircing without getting fuzzy. All of the oscillators have a compelling combination of small featureset, powerful sound, and animated interfaces (kinda reminds me of the OP1 in these respects).

Yes, I think a lot of the presets are of questionable value, at least to my music, and many clip WAY into the red - unforgivable with that graphic analyzer on top of the GUI. But from a sound design POV it's a really fun and exciting synth. Being able to jump to different modulation and FX setups within the same sound via the hotkeys is something I can really get into.

Woah! Now this is one odd synth! I am definitively not into wobbling stuff so one could think this wouldn't be for me. But all these odd controls and new approach makes me wanna skip work today

Has anyone found a way to go down a few octaves? I know there's the -1/0/+1 but i don't think that's low enough..

It is pretty shocking how so many presets clip. I rendered out a few little loops and its all bricks.

Not sure yet if its a Mixcraft 6 issue or its just how they are ment to be.

add one of these on the insert so you can have a permanent -6db or whatever you want. Some of these plugs are just brilliant as easy :)

To me it speaks volumes ( :hihi: ) about how seriously they take their products and what usergoups they are trying to impress.

Clipping presets are either a mistake, or a ploy to get people who are new to the scene and want phat loud wobwob to thing it's the loudest fattest wob there is.

Either way, it turns me off.
What is your deal sugarbytes?

They make such interesting and usable synths, but their presets are always TOO LOUD!

I found some tutorial videos...

This is from Sugabytes...

A Cyclop user gives a very detailed (close to 40 mins!) overview...

Another User Video with showcasing the presets (with a Guitar)

Jordan Rudess (very short video)

IMO it is unique in it's own way. Definitely a very interesting take on synthesis.
