A good sounding vst chorus/flanger modulation effect would be revolutionary, along with a delay with those in the feedback loop.

Hey guys,
The Primary purpose of the email, which went to existing customers, was to communicate our End Of Year Holiday Promotion Pricing, which is the same as it was last holiday but with an additional incentive in the form of 20% back in form of Reward Points. Details are here:
http://2caudio.com/promo/HolidayPromo2011/
As mentioned there,
As for "revolutionary" and other superlatives, you guys can decide for yourselves in a few weeks.
But, yes I do like the idea of letting the product speak for itself and I will consider this as I prepare the marketing/info text about it. Thanks for the feedback.
Hope everyone has an awesome holiday season!

The secondary purpose was to communicate what we've been up to. We don't like to talk about things long before they are ready, for the reasons you guys already mentioned, so we have not said much all year. Thus we did not give any details to date as to what we are working on. We just wanted all of our customers to know we're not sleeping and that things are now finally imminent...when combined, this creates the best promotional opportunity to join the 2CAudio family -- or add to your collection -- that we have offered to date.

Did the two imminent new 2CAudio products ever get released? The thought just crossed my mind for some reason.

I'm used to developers getting over excited about the release of their products. Not negative just takes time. When you think they're done out comes a belated beta bug or two for the headaches or something circumstantial like babies hee hee.

I like seeing old threads resurected...its fun.

@Galbanum: a little update maybe? What's going on? Still in the plans?

Thanks for the question. Very much still in the plans.Neon Breath wrote:@Galbanum: a little update maybe? What's going on? Still in the plans?
Since you ask, I will give you the full info and use this as an opportunity to get feedback from the community.
The status is:
1) The next product is done, with beta testers, and basically ready to be released.
2) However we do not have 64-bit OSX work done. This is what we are doing right now.
3) We have been promising 64-bit OSX for Aether and Breeze for a while. These will be free updates.
4) Completing 64-bit OSX work involves some GUI coding work, so we are using this as an opportunity to improve our GUI code. Because of this, it is challenging to project exactly how much longer the 64bit OSX port will take. We think 2 to 4 or worst case 6 weeks. But it is hard to project b/c it is a lot of new GUI code.
We are having internal discussion and discussion with the beta team about two possible plans:
Plan A: release the new product now without OSX 64bit support. Finish OSX-64bit for all plugs over the following month. Release free updates to all products at that point.
Plan B: delay new product release until 64bit OSX formats are ready
We consider B because we don't want to give the impression that we don't take this to be a serious task--one that is becoming overdue. However, we don't want to rush this process, as we need to do it right and it allows us to implement some great new GUI features in the process. So it takes time to do to the level of perfectionism that we are accustomed to delivering.
Community feedback is welcome on this topic. Particularly if you are an OSX user waiting for 64bit OSX versions from us. Just realize that whatever your personal opinion is, ultimately we will need to decide after careful consideration of the various feedback and internal considerations and inevitably some people will not be happy while others will be.

This Topic may never have seen the light of day again if I hadn't resurrected it.

I'd really like to see Plan B in action for a couple of reasons:
a) I'm selfish, on OSX and would like to get Aether & Breeze out of the 'Few remaining to be 64bit plug-ins' list!
b) From a marketing standpoint it would make more sense to have the new product ready to launch with OSX 64 bit included (rather than dampening the 'der-ner-ner' fanfare a bit with... erm "64bit OSX to follow soon guys!").
BTW... Are we looking at both 64bit AU and VST for OSX?
Cheers,
Alan
