I'm using the GSi VB3 plug-in with Cantabile Solo 2.0. I'm new to VSTi's and VST Hosts. I have Cantabile set up to host VB3. I don't understand how to use the "banks" feature. It seems to me that a bank should hold customized or renamed VB3 programs so that I can load a specified custom bank when I start up VB3. Is this how it's supposed to work? I have read the Cantabile user guide but still don't have a clear understanding about how a Bank is supposed to work or how to set it up.

Can anyone help?

VST's work with *.fxp (program) and *.fxb (bank) files.

Usually a bank should contain many programs - for instance the sound patches of a synth. But some VST's have their own non standard browsing system and just expose banks - which work as a single program then.

Not sure what you mean by "banks feature" but if you think of "load entire bank" the above scenario is what this feature is about.

To edit banks you can look into the program organizer in Cantabile.
