Lol I'm not here arguing just telling you my findings it will take me a bit to post anything I need to learn how this TI side of thingsmcnoone wrote: Yea whatever...can you post any sound clips of some of those sounds on you like?
You know, some finger noodling or similar.
I want to hear, the sounds that can't be done on a softsynth.
Really works and that I'll be doing withy own TI but given the massive amount of synths I have and believe me I own most of the ones mentioned on this thread and much more.. And to me some of them are/were pretty irreplaceable. Virus to my ears sounds much bigger than poco. Bigger than massive or zebra. They have their own traits but I like the virus..
You can whatever me all you want but I bet you don't own one yourself. I was whatevering my bud (who let me borrow his TI) and he was always smiling. I guess he wanted to shut me up once and for all.. Look if you're on the TI hatter bandwagon I don't blame you but all these things that are being said that zebra was used by hans Zimmer for inception is most likely true but what they don't tell you is what kind of gear was used to run the actual sounds through I highly doubt that he use it as a soft synth. What I do know is the boys with the big shorts don't just use the soft synthesizers they actually run them through whole chain of really fattening gear that makes those synths sound like the real deal and most of us can not afford that gear...

I didn't want to have to explain this because it seemed pretty clear to me, but somehow xamido didn't underserstand so here it is: Every synth has its strengths, but if you expect Saurus to sound like a Virus for example it is like asking a fish to climb a ladder. It doesn't mean there is no talent, that the synth is not genius in its own way. This really is in response to the OP when he says that nothing comes close to what the TI can do and is offered as a reminder that sure the TI does its thing in a genius way but that doesn't make any other synth less genius. Anyhow that is no 'Diva fanboy' rant as xamido would like you to believe.braj wrote:"Everybody (synth) is a genius. Lmao unguus a ruthless. You know it's really funny I actually took a link for diva and zebra and sent it to the guy who used virus TI for years he also has some other analog gear and I asked him his opinion because this will be my first VA and he has been using analog synthesizers for very long time so I waited for a response from him for couple of days then I called him and asked him what his opinion was about D's two and he was kind of smirking and saying that although they sound warmer done other vi's they're just not a real competitor to a real deal and yes I did tell him what ever you're just blowing smoke up my behind he said well I'll be in town next weekend and I will let you borrow my virus and you can tell me yourself what you thinkbraj wrote:Ok, I'm just trying to remember not to expect you to climb a ladder.xamido wrote:Watch as the rest of Diva fanboy gets mad with the OP post.

Neither am I.pzhuravel wrote: Lol I'm not here arguing
I just wanna hear some isolated playing of some of the cool presets it has.
Maybe a few sound clips.
I can't afford a virus...I think I'd get an Andromeda instead, if I could though.

Lol, what does saurus have to do with it? I like virus, i own virus. Virus is virus. If people like that virus sound, so what? And no, virus doesn't have to defend itself with meager sample of soundclip. It's in a lot of modern music composition. You guys are too busy with soundclip of 1 instance, and never focus about the music.braj wrote:

My response is for something else, which i'm not going to explain.

Braj i hope I didn't come off as I'm talking smack about other vi's I thought I made it clear that for
What I was looking for nothing compared to TI not that it is better or
Worse its just what I was looking for.. Does it make cense?

The Virus is not an analogue synth. It's pure digital. Analogue has nothing to do with this discussion. Just sayin'!... sent it to the guy who used virus TI for years he also has some other analog gear and I asked him his opinion because this will be my first VA and he has been using analog synthesizers for very long time ...
Peace,
Andy.

I've heard the Virus ti has some really good FX.
I don't doubt that Hans uses Zebra run through great FX processors.
Most average users do use other FX too, so like what's your point with that?
Anyway...does the Virus have that funky Stevie Wonder bass patch like from Boogie On Reggae Woman?
That has to be the warmest most analogue goodness I've ever heard.
The Virus can do it I'm sure. It does it all...yes?

you know some instruments younl just put a chord down and twist a knob and you're in love..?thats what virus has done to me today. Yes the bases cams be thick and warm, pads at fat lush and organic sounding. Maybe it's not a pure analog but something trully special is going on inside those chips:)mcnoone wrote:
