You could do that using M1 or M2 + Mod Wheel as modulation sources for example.braj wrote: Cool, but with a knob it could be easily automated to steadily increase in a song for example, unless the Alt/Shift + Click/Mouse Wheel can be automated?

Can the Modulation Amount sliders be automated? That actually does it from what I can tell without needing a source, ie. you can use mod wheel for something else. It seems different than simply increasing the track volume, ie it works like velocity?george wrote:You could do that using M1 or M2 + Mod Wheel as modulation sources for example.braj wrote: Cool, but with a knob it could be easily automated to steadily increase in a song for example, unless the Alt/Shift + Click/Mouse Wheel can be automated?

Actually using two modulation sources act as a multiplier, so it won't have any effect over the destination if one is set to zero.
This way you could set aftertouch as secondary source and edit the values with your host.

OK.. regarding my wavetable request: Indeed I mean a la Waldorf. I reckon technically they are called wave scanning oscilators, but seems like most people call them wavetables. As snigelx said you can get evolving wave scan-ey types of sounds by modulating the parameters as mentioned. However, the reason I suggest the wave scanning osc's is not to emulate Waldorfs or anything but to push this synth further into its own unique territory. It would just compound the possibilities for unique and organic tones.
Again this would be a major update I guess we'd be talking version 2. Also I'm not suggesting that you replace the current oscillator, but have it where you can switch between different oscillator types (such as my virus TI or massive).
But I want to reitterate: I'm very satisfied with this synth and would remain that way if very little changed. It seems like your priorities are in order, addressing the details first instead of worrying about adding big fancy features.
here's one more small idea.. how about havin the envelope stages available as modulation destinations? I ofte. like to add a touch of velocity modulation on the decay or attack.

Thanks. Yes, AD mod destination can be really handy.monk_volcano wrote: here's one more small idea.. how about havin the envelope stages available as modulation destinations? I ofte. like to add a touch of velocity modulation on the decay or attack.

All envelope stages are essential, not just AD. For example, I often modulate the Release stage when I have a lead sound which has a long release stage, but when I move the wheel the release is reduced (this makes sense when combined with other parameters).
So I use ADSR as matrix entries all the time. In fact, no parameter related directly to the synth engine should be unavailable in the mod matrix.

I'm going to chime in here with resounding agreement. "Everything in moderation"...ahem...except MODULATIONhimalaya wrote:All envelope stages are essential, not just AD. For the record, George, it makes me happy to hear about pending FULL MIDI control access via host. THAT is a great start, if it is difficult to get those destinations into the Matrix. At the very least we can draw in the changes.

+1! In some cases, a delay without a HPF in the loop is just too muddy to use.snigelx wrote:Good Eve

About the bank,...20 patches knocked out as of this posting. Looking to double or triple this over the weekend (working evenings this week at my job), but i'll post a link to the set with whatever i can manage by sunday eve

Gah, she's giving me fits
She doesn't want to output the results of certain modulation routings in the matrix. Stops putting out audio when trying to do some FM-ish stuff via OSC MIX sources. Actually it's modulation source 'loops' she apparently doesn't much like -- destinations modulating themselves via source sharings etc. - Oh well, packing it in for the night
Cheers!

Another FR, is there a way to make the LFO gradually comes in when using the delay knob? Currently is seems like it is just off and on, and using the delay just moves the off/on point.
