Will we die when Zebra3 will come out ?

Not sure, but "morph" in lfo can be injected in zebraUrs wrote:Morphing LFO waves? I might need to think about that... :)
through XY pad by controlling lfo's amp.
through ModMixer in mode3 (lfo1+lfo2-scaled by Lfo3/Gate/env/whatever)
on top of that 1,2 lfo's amp can be modulated with lfo3 and lfo3's amp with env, for example..

I absolutely love Zebra! The news concerning more distortion options in zebra is a big hit for me.
But, one thing I would really appreciate for the workflow is a zoom-into-module feature; similar to the zoom for modules in Omnisphere. For example, you load a EQ module, you can zoom the EQ to the size of the plugin and with all that space you can include much more information allow for much more accuracy: grid, units etc.
Another spot where I think this would be awesome would be for the OSC wavetables. Zooming the OSC to a much large space to allow us to create much more accurate wavetables. Speaking of more accurate drawing of wavetables, perhaps more features to help us draw waves? Bezier curves? Additional vector and curve controls? This combined with an accurate graphing complete with units. I want to be able to look at a single-wave in an oscilloscope and be able to recreate it exactly with tools found in zebra!
That's how I always imagined Zebra to evolve; accuracy. I am still not satisfied in my ability to draw a basic sin wave in the OSC editor. Better and more elaborate controls combined with accurate measurements would be very welcome.
Also, another idea that just came to mind. What about multi-output features? Maybe I would like to post-processes each lane in Zebra myself?
I cannot wait.

The zoom stuff is one thing we've been thinking about. Like, there is already a zoom for the ModMapper interface. I think there's plenty of ways to improve on that.
We'll see

Will you add in (or... do you have already), eight simple macros controls (ala massive) where I can go, e.g.,Urs wrote:No idea yet... the general layout/workflow won't change thoughEvilDragon wrote:I must say I'm really anxious to see the new Zebra GUI Urs will come up with.
macro1 = cutoff and macro1 = 50% * res
macro2 = osc1 modulation depth
macro3 = osc1 speed
macro4 = delay send and macro4 = 30% chorus send
macro5 = 30% distortion
etc....
So I can set up a patch to do EXACTLY what I want, and control it from a few controls in EXACTLY the way that I want to?

You can't be any more annoying than me, I tend to spit out feature requests (or as I call them, ideas) as they flicker across my synapsesEvilDragon wrote:Sorry if I'm annoying with that desire.Urs wrote:I kind of noticed that desireEvilDragon wrote:Indeed, I'd love a true additive harmonic mode (where incremental harmonics are not 1/n in amplitude).

fancy chorus, distortion(s), modulation mappers, and possible new filter choices?? you spoil us already!
btw.. I find wider gui better than taller gui on wide screen displays

XY is cool, but it'd be cool if there were 8 macro knobs too. See Alchemy.Urs wrote:You mean something like the current XY controls in Zebra?_leras wrote:Will you add in (or... do you have already), eight simple macros controls (ala massive) where I can go, e.g.,Urs wrote:No idea yet... the general layout/workflow won't change thoughEvilDragon wrote:I must say I'm really anxious to see the new Zebra GUI Urs will come up with.

If you open the XY tab at the bottom you will see all 8 of the XY parameters as controllable knobs.EvilDragon wrote:XY is cool, but it'd be cool if there were 8 macro knobs too. See Alchemy.Urs wrote:You mean something like the current XY controls in Zebra?

... yeah, or MassiveEvilDragon wrote:XY is cool, but it'd be cool if there were 8 macro knobs too. See Alchemy.
..btw speaking of Massive, I've just remembered how easy it is to assign modulation in there... in that direction, Zebra might welcome some right-click on parameter options or something like that as well!

Brian already pointed you guys to Zebra's 8 macro knobs - look in the XY panel. "Modulate with..." is worth thinking about, though3ee wrote:... yeah, or MassiveEvilDragon wrote:XY is cool, but it'd be cool if there were 8 macro knobs too. See Alchemy.

Amongst classic BBD choruses, seems to me like the better Boss stuff is the most Zebra-like, clean but not dull.sascha wrote: Ah, good to know...
So that means we need a faithful BBD thing? Boss-like voices with 60-degrees offset?
Any input welcome
I really like the 'vibrato' sorts of controls on some EH stuff though, some great mojo there - I'm just not sure if it only works with guitars, or if it also needs some stronger and slightly more driven tonal shaping with those units (as I remember them, at least ...). I sort of wonder if global modes of Zebra's LFOs or MSEGs etc. could be routed to a vibrato.

Hmmm, I guess they may cover the same thing to an extent - but as your manual puts it the XY controls may be daunting at first... I don't think it's quite the same thing, but to be honest I'd need to try it out and don't have Zebra, which was why I was asking.Urs wrote:You mean something like the current XY controls in Zebra?_leras wrote: Will you add in (or... do you have already), eight simple macros controls (ala massive) where I can go, e.g.,

I guess it could be described more as 8 manual controls that can be routed in the mod matrix (1 to many). In Massive it's very much an addition to a patch.
The way this works in Massive is really quick and obvious, you can then name the macros with relevant names and make a complex patch easy to control from even 2-3 knobs. The result is massive (sic) control and feel on patches.
Another example for you... I might want to set up a patch and have two macro controls
1 - decrease attack, increase release by a smaller amount
2 - increase cutoff, also increase distortion but by a smaller relative amount
In massive you literally drag drop the macro number to the control you want it to modulate and then drag up/down from the control to determine how much you want to modulate by... very very easy and very very powerful.
Have you used this functionality of Massive?
