RMV loosing sample start/end settings on save and reload project

I'ld first try to figure out what the issues Dune reported is about; hopefully we can find what this is. Otherwise we should be pretty quickly be able to release this fix as it not requires much testing.

One more thing I have found:
by default, the groove section shows no groove, and when I hit Browse Backwards button, Reaper freezes.
About the mute/solo disappear and other things i described - Pad1 became Pad13 etc... I will upload and share Youtube video soon (in 1-2 days)

Change the Pad 1 / 5 / 9 / 13 sample start
Mute Pads : 4 / 8 / 12 / 16
Save Reaper project
After Reopening,
Pads 5 / 9/ 13 lost their sample start value
Pads 4 / 8 / 12 / 16 lost their mute settings
Pad 1 became "Pad 13" in its name field
Dunno If it's normal or not, but in the firs 2 Kits (1forthekit , 2thebeat)
my Pad names don't show Kick/Hat/snare etc descriptions, but Pad1, Pad2 .... etc
and after 18 there's a lot of Pad 13 which is a bit stupid, because when I click one Pad, that has Pad13 in its name, it's not 13 (you can see the correct pad id at the left side of the module selector /pad-module-choke-voices/ )
Later I saw - not only the first two kits have these awkward naming...

maybe someone more in the know with Reaper can help; in your case only a single pad (so a single preset) is saved instead of the whole plugin status (which would be equivalent to a bank / all presets). Thus everything except the last editied (pad 13) is not restored, and the preset itself is restored into the currently active pad after loading RMV (which is the first by default). Just what i dont know is how to set up reaper appropriately so it restores the complete plugin status.

Open FX Browser, right click RMV in the plugin list, check "Save state as VST bank". This is in REAPER 4.22.

I didn't realize this setting,
this "save state as vst bank" was not active on RMV (though all my other plugings had this),
after activating, i did the same test, and
everything was OK.
The muted pads and the changed sample start values were recalled properly.

Ok, however, as we found the sample start/end can be lost, so we'll release an update as it fits our schedule, I hope within next the few weeks. Thanks to both of you for supplying so good info to trace this.

Thanks, I guess this update won't include the fix to the issue I reported a while ago when samples are not found and RMV needs to relocate them, right?

Lets resume: there was a bug that the dialog appearing to relocate the samples did not show the actualy files, only when you manually change to *.* (or any valid extension). This is fixed.
I not exactly sure what went wrong later on; what I can see is that you have to relocate every single sample, which is tedious. Its easier to just set the path to the new lib on the setup page (if the samples ARE in the lib, if not that wont help of course).
When you save a project after relocating the samples the new paths are saved and the project should open fine the next time.
If you have a re-occuring problem I can send you a pre-release 5.0.8 so you can check it and we might include any additional fixes as needed (and possible
)

What happened then is that even specifying a new location for three loops, when reloading later the project RMV insisted asking again for their location, just as if the new position wasn't persisted.
Feel free to PM me with a link for 5.0.8 when it's ready for testing, I'll be quite glad to check it (and in the meanwhile I can get the fix for sample start/end as soon as possible)

I'll be checking this with loops tomorrow and get back to you then ... while we are on it, lets fix whats possible
