This is for folks using Caustic 2 for Android, I know there's a few of you here, (that's how I found out about it!)

Out of the box Caustic doesn't sound so great, but with expansion packs you can pretty much turn it into "reason in your pocket"

There are a few co.'s making Caustic expansion packs, I have tried them all and so far 2 stand out, Audiovapor and Big Beard Audio.

Audiovapor has tons of free packs out and a couple paid. They are great sounds and I have found many uses for them. Def. worth checking out: http://www.audiovapor.com/android.html

Also, there is a new company that just started offering expansion packs called Big Beard Audio. They only have 3 or 4 packs up so far but I have to say they are top notch! The one I have fallen in love with is "Synthkords". They created PCM presets from analog keys playing great sounding chords and they sound top notch. You can get them at:

There are others out there making sounds for Caustic but I find them to be either low quality samples or just useless sounds (for most purposes)

Anyway, just thought I would share, I love Caustic. The windows version is pretty awesome too btw.

Can you use them on both android and windows versions?

I don't know about Audiovaopor, but I did email BBA about that, because I would like to use the chord presets on my PC. Bigbeard said they are working on a windows installer but it isn't ready just yet. BUT they said the .pcm files WILL work on windows, you just have to browse to your SD card from your PC and copy the pcm preset files into windows caustic's PCM preset folder. They also noted they have no problem with that so long as the presets are not redistributed.

Does that make sense?

i checked the site and you should be able to use presets on both phone/pc or whatever android thing you use

i was gonna make a few sounds on the pc for it, drum kits, synth presets etc.
