Hello;
I have a need for an ipad app that will play back full songs live, as well as sections, ie; verses, instrumentals, intro, outro, and just about anything you would want to "go" to inspirationally, as a live set is going.
I would need for the sections to be able to "immediately" start,be able to come in in tempo, whether in a list, or user initiated, by hand (button) or foot controller.
Full looping would be cool as well.
Fades, et al, are not that important to me, as I can do them with my sequencer.
I have looked at alot of apps, and some have come close, but no cigar.
There are lots of DJ type apps that do some of the things that I need them to do, but leave off some, and the timing is off, or loop time is limited.
Any experiences with apps that will do what I am looking for would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers;
Ian :)

I don't know if it's exactly what you are looking for but I discovered this one yesterday:

Looks very interesting.

Thanks, I will have a look.

If you have an overall song-structure in mind I think that Nanostudio would likely do what you are looking for; you can mute out either tracks or individual sampler pads (In the TRG Pads/sample launcher). With Nanostudio you don't launch individual samples, you just have them all running and unmute the ones you want on the fly - this helps to keep things synced. With the track controls you could also have some fader functionality if it became necessary.

There was a Youtube video some months back of a Japanese musician displaying this functionality quite well - I will see if I can track down the link.

Edit: Read that more closely that you want to play back FULL songs and have a sequencer - so my comment doesn't really apply here unless you are actually composing in Nanostudio. :oops:

Thanks for your reply;
Yeah, typically I will play a song thru once or twice and then call up specific sections to solo or sing over as I am inspired.
I have nano and it appears to be a good app, and I have even loaded a song to it to test it. The quality was good, but to change from one song to the next, and get to specific parts took some time.
Thanks again, still on the hunt.

Well, I found GoButton, and it is working super good.
I have beena able to cue up parts as I want them to play, with no glitches, or waiting. In other words in Tempo!
I have been in contact with the developer and made a couple of requests, like editing on the fly, foot controlling, and over dubbing.
I'm a pretty happy camper at this point.
