Unless Arturia are just bullshitting us to get more hits on their website(which is highly unlikely) then yes, it's free but for one day only which is the 21st of June.topaz wrote:Is this free ?
If you'd like to pay for it I doubt Arturia would mind

I guess, if you think about it, there is no point doing something 'free for 1 day only' if there is no way to licence the software to the user that downlaods it on the free day? It will not be a dongle/elicener (they have said that in this thread) but if they have not said theu are making it 'freeware' or even 'shareware', it has to be licenced to the user somehow? (this can even be true with free software instruments on cover disks like computer music)WOK wrote:This is a bad example. Why should they be compelled to offer updates / upgrades for free giveaways??ZINO wrote:"I have an old SPL Attacker plugin, a promotion from 2009. Can I renew or upgrade it?
Sorry, but we don't renew old SPL promotional Attacker plugins.
These plugins were given away for "one install", "one machine", "one time".
You may go on using the old version, but if you need a new Attacker you are required to purchase one in our online store."
This offer was also labeled as "FREE" back then so until we all know what this is exactly plese stop being smart.
In the past several big companies offered free (limited) versions that included a copy protection software. It's nonsense, but they did it.Kriminal wrote:I still dont get why everyone is talking about copy protection...the product is FREE, why does it need it???
Thanks,SLiC wrote:I guess, if you think about it, there is no point doing something 'free for 1 day only' if there is no way to licence the software to the user that downlaods it on the free day? So the plugin would expire and no longer work after the 21st ? That would be hilarious........wwjd wrote:we all missed it!!!
Nothing matters about dongles, licensing, support, since
