disasterous upgrade!

Today, I updated my iTouch amplitube in iTunes as well as purchased the Slash package. Previously, I had purchased the Fender package. After the Slash purchase and upgrade, I now receive the message that the Fender amps/effects as well as the Slash amps/effects are "not available because they have not been purchased." Now, I am very unhappy as I was looking forward to trying out the new Slash package. Not only can't I try that, I can't even use the previously purchased Fender package. Any help or ideas.

should be a "restore purchases" option somewhere in the app...?

Yes, that part is not the problem. I restored all of the Fender apps with no problems but the new Slash appears as a separate Amplitube app; even though when launching the "normal" Amplitube, it says packages, lists the Fender package and everything works. However, the Slash package also appIears but I get the "not purchased" message. But, now there's a seperate "Slash" app that appears to be a regular Amplitube app but ONLY has the amps and effects that came with the Slash package. They all work, but because they're a separate package, none of the other Amplitube effects are available when running the Slash portion. I like the new Marshal amps, but think the original Amplitube noise gate works better. But the separation keeps me from "mixing" effects between the two. Any more thoughts?

Unfortunately Apple doesn't allow in app purchases to move from 1 app to another. Contact our support though and see what we can do to help you. You can also copy/paste any audio from 1 app to another since we released the last free update.

Yeah, sorry dude- you got what I had (just search my name and you will see my little saga). In the end, Apple refunded my money and I am very wise now about the whole in-app issue with vendors who offer multitude of apps (especially the free). Not sure if full Amplitube offers the Slash pack but you would be best to go that route.whippet6 wrote:Today, I updated my iTouch amplitube in iTunes as well as purchased the Slash package. Yes, sorry I didn't see this - you can indeed get the Slash models from within AmpliTube (which had itself quite a large update too). Definitely see what support can do for you or if there's a way to get the App Store to help out with the purchase on that side. The best way for long term additions like this is to build it all from within the AmpliTube main app. I will forward this confusion to others and see if there's a better way to clarify for people.
Thanks!
