They tried to teach us Metric as well. It's a very simple and elegant system but it was all that conversion stuff that did us in.....
How many miles in a kilometer (0.621371192 now there's a handy number) how many liters in a gallon.....how many inches in a meter...Ackkkk.
It does however sound much more impressive to say that I am hung at 25.4 centimeters....... :hihi:

Well the day is still only 24 hours..:hihi:...it's the longest period of daylight in the Northern Hemisphere and is considered the first day of summer although it's already been over 105 degrees here so in my book that's summer no matter what the date...... :hihi:

I had a mechanics teacher who swore that the auto industry, Snap On, Sears, and other companies killed the metric push once they realized they could sell twice as many tools with two systems instead of one.

The day is still 24 hours ... there's just more daylight than on other days (if you're in the Northern hemisphere).

Not that it matters but according to Wikipedia, the solstice is June 20 -- one day before free Moog day.

It says "between June 20 and June 22 in the Northern Hemisphere" in the link you posted.

I always think of the 21st as the solstice ... summer and winter, but I'm having a solstice party on the 22nd this year, because that's Friday night.

You do realize that even when converting to inches,25.4 cm still makes you something of a tripod.

Time for me to get one of them pump devices,I'm clearly lagging behind :(
