One-Synth-Challenge 41: Minimogue - Submissions and gossip

What version did you use? There are quite a lot to choose from: The old version with link from KVR database, the latast official version from www.home.no/gunnare that is now saved in the stable SE 1.1. I did this after many bug reports in this thread. That version has no oversampling. I am guessing that you are using the standard MinimogueVA with oversampling that was available at the beginning of the month.

And the version with Andrew's new filter, that is saved in SE 1.2 beta and has oversampling. So oversampling version is still available on the download page as the MinimogueVA_TD version.

hmm... looking in explorer, dll version says 1.0.0.1, but if I click on the logo inside the synth it says version 2.3. (I downloaded from the site when this thread started)
I think I took it from here: http://www.home.no/gunnare/MinimogueLUXUS.zip on 1'st June 2012 (and the readme's latest entry for news is "NEWS In Version 2.3 19.des 2010" - don't know if this is a 2010 version)... how can you tell the exact version??

Yes, I admit I lost control of all the versions! I know what version you have from the text above. It was the first generation oversampling version with SE 1.2028. I went back to the stable version last week. (No oversampling).

adagiocm: I've been unable to get there so far as well. I did get to the arturia homepage at one point, but the link was dead pointing to the promotional deal. Hopefully they'll bring the servers up in different parts of the world at different times throughout the day or something like that, so I'll just keep checking.


All that aside, I know I shouldn't have; I probably should have just gone back and worked on remixing and remastering my previous entries; but, instead of any of that, I made another track. At least this one, I did put considerable effort into those aspects of production relative to my previous submissions.

Almost all tracks, except about five at a time, were bounced to .wav's individually as RAM filled up, to allow for new ones to be added. Many more tracks worked simultaneously with low oversampling (not without issues), but 32x oversampling tends to use it by the GB and caused host crashes on attempts to render (don't even mention trying to hit "play").

Woo hoo! Finally the Arturia site is up, and I downloaded/installed it. Checking it out now. Sounds quite nice, and has a relatively low CPU usage.
