The way I read it was our licensing agreement with Moog is coming to an end and we will be rebranding the Modular and the Mini without the Moog moniker.

It also sounds like Moog no longer needs them.

This was in the newsletter that I received from Arturia announcing the deal.
Arturia Newsletter wrote:We are celebrating a partnership with Moog Music that gave birth to the Moog Modular V and Minimoog V. This partnership, initiated by Bob Moog himself, is coming to an end and the Moog Modular V and Minimoog V soft synths will soon be remerging as the updated and renamed Modular V and Mini V. We saw this as an opportunity to give musicians a gift that will symbolize this historical collaboration.
So, reading between the lines, there is an opening for a new, official range of Moog emulations. Moog have been active on the mobile platforms recently, and presumably they might have their eye on the desktop/professional platforms too.

This is, of course, pure speculation on my part.
Available on iTunes, Amazon, etc.

So am I even missing anything to speak of?
Nice to have options

And can you ever have enough gear? :D

I think the problem I had with T3 was that the install generated 2 .dll's of each synth and fx. 2 were in a folder and 2 were without a folder. I deleted the folder and just kept the synth .dll in my "multi" instrument folder.

It sounds like other Moog emu's I've tried. Maybe it's my soundcard, but I can't get it to sound like a Moog.

Because that's what a MiniMoog sounds like and because it sounds good.
Why wouldn't you want it top sound like that ?

Well, I think those last 2 might be a full on Moog modular.

I aready own the Arturia Minimoog V, should I get this? :?

Androidlove... the first 2 videos you linked is MiniMoog put through some preamp, then speaker, then a shitty microphone in his camera... (can you hear the noise the keys make when he is playing ?) thats NOT how a MiniMoog connected to a high quality transparent audio interface sounds like.

The other videos are fully produced MiniMoog + a boatload of effects songs and again thats not how a MiniMoog sounds like on its own.

Nope.

Same thing, but with no back panel editing.

But this one can easily be installed on multiple machines, reg it by simple code, no internet link up or dongle (neither ilok or e-version) necessary.

That's a plus the Minimoog V can't sport even with back panel 8)

It took just over 12hours to get it and install it...

But it's amazing and I love it and it's free.........

Would u say back panel editing is necessary?

I hated the Minimoog V for years because it doesn't sound like a Minimoog. I started enjoying the Minimoog V the moment I stopped comparing it to a Minimoog and instead began judging it on its own merits. It has a biting digital top-end, it has an exaggerated bass boost that's totally unlike any real analog, and it's absolutely perfect for when you need a house or trance bass to provide a foundation between the kicks.

Yes, there are things in this MIniMoog clone that are pretty much very useable and fun. This will go next to Diva as one of my SW synths to be used a lot in future.
