I made at least 50 attempts to get on to the website to register, so I was unable to get it through the website. I also tried the facebook method, still no luck, for some reason I couldn't progress.
I still want to take Arturia up on their offer. I'm not sure if I am going to accept the fact that I couldn't register through no fault of my own. Another thing that I found rather amusing was that on Wednesday night (here in Sydney Australia) was that there were 4 hours remaining on the timer at 8pm...but...but...on Thursday morning at 6am...there was 2 hours on the counter and I'm like...what the heck? I thought it would be opened by then but nah. I went to work and tried to register at work...had to explain things to my boss.
I contacted the webmaster last night and still awaiting a reply. Lets just say if I don't get anything positive out of this I'm not sure if I would want to have anything to do with them in future. What they do now will determine whether I consider buying any synths from them in future.
I really am upset by this whole thing. It's been so far nothing but a massive load of stress through no fault of my own.
Here I appeal to Arturia to make this right and to contact me on private message if they are prepared for me to accept their offer. A day late...sure...but that is not my fault.
I wish them the best. I am eagerly awaiting a response from Arturia.

This style of yours reminds me of one of my customers who paid 0,10€ when I offered a plugin as "pay what you want" and half year later wrote a mail "I had to resetup my computer, can you send me the plugin again"....  - good grief - 

In the time before internet (yes, there was...) a special offer like this would have been made by tv or radio and the people would have to call a telephone number - it was a game of luck to get a free line and come thru - but no one would have complained about that.

Don't you want to reread your post and rethink of what you wrote?

Arturia could've handled this much better, atleast a few days time to dl. It was obvious there's gonna be a server meltdown.
People that didn't get it will be really furious and never going to buy anything from Arturia (that was my thoughts too when closing time was near). Anyways, thanks Arturia.

I'd happily take one of yours if you're not overwhelmed by demands : I dont have any Facebook account and I could not connect to the site despite a lot of efforts before they changed for the FB method so I could not get one

I won't blame Arturia - I blame their web servers. Many web servers do not have enough capacity to service 1000s of simultaneous requests.

I presume Arturia underestimated the load that would be placed on their web servers.

I absolve them of any fault. Nevertheless I am still upset that they would not accept a registration from me because I was using an IPhone and could not see the "Captcha" so could not type the magic letter/number. Apparently IPhone does not handle PHP very well or at all a very big **** you to Apple for their shitty iSafari browser...

So, to rephrase this, perhaps a grace period would have been nice. But really I blame Apple for this, by the time I was able to convince my boss to use the Windows work PCs...well, you know...t'was too bloody late...website DOWN for the count! I suppose I could blame my boss for not letting me use the PC during morning tea when I kindly asked him...lesson - DONT TRY to get stuff on an iPhone and make sure you use a WINDOWS TABLET instead!!!!!!

All I can say is I hope Arturia has monster servers....they are going to get hammered....

So they had time to prepare. If I saw it coming........

Actually I wasn't expecting much but this synth has been a pleasant surprise and is climbing up my list of best free synths ever. The Templates they added allow access to some of the hidden features of the back panel and it's really quite fun to program although the gui is a bit hard to read. I'm loving the Memory Moog presets and the poly synth and arp patches I'm getting and of course the basses....pleasant surprise this.....

I have learned that by assigning the blame to everyone but yourself you don't get ahead in life. Accept the full responsibility for this - I sat at my browser refreshing every 10 seconds because I really wanted this plug-in and I finally got it. I was busy too - but I made it happen. And you could've done it too. It's not Apple's, Safari's, Arturia's or Arturia's servers' fault. Seriously. Claiming otherwise borders on comedy.
