Tried it briefly and it sounds great on the mixbus.
I also like that light brushed aluminum look with wooden ends.

Good crafting PSP.

btw, is it buss (VST) or bus (Auria)? Excuse my english but the other one is a vehicle I think.

Either one is correct.

BTW the the signal gets moved from one place to another so your vehicle reference applies.

I say bus almost exclusively now. People have gone round and round about that, especially on GS. There are arguments and standard usage precedents for both. I think SSL tries to use bus exclusively, yet they used have a website called mixbuss. It's like mic vs. mike.

On the ratio, I was thinking about Duende with 2/4/20. I guess they went from 10 to 20 for the C200 maybe? Anybody know? It's my understanding that the Duende bus comp is nearly a straight port from their C200 digital console, and that the C200 compressor is modeled after the SSL 9K superanalogue console (9000 J/K) comp which is a descendant of the 4K (4000 E/G) whew!

I had always thought it was a USA/Europe thing with Americans favoring "bus" and Europeans favoring "buss." I generally go with the one "s" spelling, but have caught myself on occasion using the "buss" spelling. Not that it matters...

It's funny how different the faster attack settings sound when I compare these plugins to each other. Somehow cytomic seems to sound more natural while Drumbuss sounds more distorted. It's easy to hear this with the .01 attack.

I think I was a bit too haste with my previous comments.
I have to eat my words on what I said about Drumbuss preserving high frequency content better.
There is something about the high frequency area though, I just don't know how to describe it.

If these two plugins were twins, Glue would be the good one and DrumBuss the bad one.

Even if Cytomic did accept license transfer he wouldn't be getting my money because I am not getting rid of mine just yet. I think it's safe for me to say that I prefer Glue on the masterbus and DrumBuss on the ... uh.. drumbus.

Yup, demoed it, I still like The Glue better. It seems a lot of people make hasty decisions and the newest options are instantly their favorite.

The world isn't only black or white. A new plugin doesn't make all others redundant. TheGlue has been proven a worthy plugin and that doesn't stop here and now because of the BusPressor.

But Cytomic and PSP Audioware are amongst the companies that raise the standard for plugins, I guess. TheGlue is some kind of benchmark and I think BusPressor can compete on the same level.

I tried the glue, and kinda liked it. But it had some weird things where I finally decided against it. Like the mousewheels not working correctly and the preset management.

I don't mean to sound like a smartass but does these things really matter that much in a simple product where you can setup everything within a matter of seconds?
It doesn't have so many parameters to adjust, and many of them are stepped.

Sure, but how many "different flavors" does someone really need?

When it comes to compressors I come along just fine with 3. I am quite sure it's much less than what many others use.
