Have you heard of AmpliTube Slash? Slash's personal guitar amps and FX modeled in the AmpliTube Custom Shop. (Which is free too!)

Amplitube Slash is pretty fantastic. I am also LOVING Stereo Channel and Mono Channel, maybe just "utility" plugins, but when it comes to tracking and mixing fully in the box having stuff that's as high quality as that, especially for free, is amazing.

I think S-Gear 2 came out fairly recently, I got an NFR of it for my blog and I am extremely impressed - it's not as bare as Softube, but it has something going on with the sound quality that reminds me of Softube when Vintage Amp Room first came out. REAL spark going on in the developers. Loving how Amplitube's gear works with it, too, highly complimentary programs. Check it here, don't let the 2D-ish GUI fool you, the code behind the face is really well done, pro-quality. I wouldn't mention it in the same comment as IKMM's recent work if it wasn't good.

Apart from that, still figuring out myself what's AWESOME, among the much wider question "what's now," haha

TDR Feedback Compressor is very very good.
Stereo Channel and Mono Channel are very handy.
ThrillseekerLA have to be on my list too.
PQ33 is a great sounding EQ.
And best of all they are free!

Slate Digital VTM / Studer 800 and 827 emulator. Its due anytime.

DMG Audio Equick / Best EQ I've ever used and its resizable , transparent.
Same dude that made Sonalksis.

Devil-Loc Deluxe / Based on the shure level-Loc dirty, crunchy or clean compressor with pump.

Nomad Factory Magma / I hear these effects are related to the ones in Spectrasonics Omnisphere, Trilian and theirs 65 of them.

Amplitube Slash / Want your sampled electric guitars to sound real this is it.

+1 For the thrillseeker also. One of the best freeware compressors for sure. I can't stop dreaming of the x64 versions of his plugins.

I also liked DC8C and Reelbus. I use reelbus on every project. I wish to see those empty slots filled soon
