Any word on Ableton Live 9?

This doesn't mean anything, obviously, but I caught that Hal Leonard publishing just added a book to their future releases (November, 2011) called "Power Tools for Ableton 9." (http://www.halleonard.com/product/viewproduct.do?itemid=333217&lid=92&whatsnew=90&searchcategory=05&subsiteid=66&)

Live never crashes for me. People often blame the DAW when sometimes it's as simple as a poorly written plugin that often causes the crash.StateMedia wrote:For Me. Live is a valuable studio tool. But v8 was so full of bugs. I wouldn't trust it Live at all. I still use it for sorting out tempo changes and some writing. But I wouldn't be out DJ-ing with it...
Also, although I think it's implied, the retail version always works better, from what I hear.

live SOMETIMES, really rarely crash, but when it does, the recovery is pretty good, unlike logic 9narz3000 wrote:Live never crashes for me. In your opinion, do you think it's Live causing the crash or maybe the plugins you are using with built in latency causing it when you push Live too hard.Muzik 4 Machines wrote:live SOMETIMES, really rarely crash, but when it does, the recovery is pretty good, unlike logic 9narz3000 wrote:Live never crashes for me. Just curious.
Love your studio, by the way.

never thought bout that latency compensation issue, maybe its the same thing that crashes logic when i go too fast, i should try a session only with built ins in both (i always end up using at least livecut in both even when doing all built in stuff tho, cant live without that one lol)
btw thanks for the studio comment

You are wrong there. You can do that for quite some time and you don't need M4L.la peste wrote: - be able to process directly any selected frequency band (once again, this can already be done via M4L) and m/s content

You can tweak it as you like. There is also three band, and two not just four..

I did a six hour DJ set with Live 8 on Friday night ... no problems.StateMedia wrote:For Me. Live is a valuable studio tool. But v8 was so full of bugs. I wouldn't trust it Live at all. I still use it for sorting out tempo changes and some writing. But I wouldn't be out DJ-ing with it...
