I have to say I dont get this product. What is so unique exactly. Ive read the specs and........ :help:

Dont Nomad just update older plugs and remarket them as new ones, hence all they sell are EQs and compressors

They are in a virtual RACK! 8)

Oh, and I thought shane1980's threads were funny !! :D :D

Just watched the video on their site. Apparently this product is "groundbreaking". I must have dreamt Guitar Rig all this time then
"I was wondering if you'd like to try Magic Mushrooms"
"Oooh I dont know. Sounds a bit scary"
"It's not scary. You just lose a sense of who you are and all that sh!t"

Anybody that has all that and still can't make music is either a warezbear or has more money than sense and/or talent.

Wow, give the guy a chance!. Its meant to be a complete solution for everything
and make it quick and easy to access in one interface. The idea of sharing presets among friends as well is a nice idea and Ive yet to hear the sound but some of normads factory stuff sound incredible.. Especially the Altec, Pultec and Tape sim Plugins. I know I spelled it Normad factory but it actually sounds better this way so ten team points for the OP. Looks like everyone got up on the wrong side of bed this morning

About the plugins, they are quite nice. You can get the sound that you want easy. I like the purple reverb, it really sounds nice.

I have yet to read a real positive review of this thing...
Which, does nothing to end my long standing opinion that Nomad stuff is overrated and sounds like it is internally capped at a 60% mix.
The concept had me looking but if its the same '20 year old algos' that one of the boys joked about in another thread, Im just not understanding. Are they hoping to sell it on the hope of the vst support in the future...?

I agree with the liquid mix stuff and others not sounding as good as new FX, but Normad factory have made some proper sounding FX Of late. I am really impressed with the pulteq emulation and altec EQ's. The Vintage series motown Eqs are as good as they get and the british bundle and Tape sim also will hold their own against any other similar plugins. Lets not forget they had to change their copy protection because of all the pirates and how this is destroying the software companies. Im still sorry kjaerhus audio went under, probably because of things like this. Im hoping this magma rack will be nothing but top class algorithms that will help Normad factory standout again as a reputable software company.
Again, the blueverb reverb also speaks quality, or tell me if Im wrong

I just can't understand why on earth do they leave this product without any proper audio/video demonstration? A friendly face saying "super and crazy" is simply not enough if this product is really their flagship.

Just FYI: Nomad Factory reassured on KvR that these are not recolored legacy effects from the past. Made from the ground-up. Vst support is coming later by the way.

If it's sounding good enough, it would be a good addition for Reaper users who want to skip pre-built fx.

I really hope they are too, instead of the same old shit in a new interface

In another thread a NF rep said they were definitely new algo's. I tried the demo and it sounded very good. The sound quality of the FX is not a problem. In theory having separate FX which can be combined is a great idea. My only reservation was that the filter FX didn't seem particularly easy to use split up into individual units.

I think Magma's Virtual Rack needs some universal controls or an x/y controller so that different parameters from each plugin can be assigned and adjusted with these controls. ATM each plugin has to be adjusted separately and separate envelopes used in a DAW which is a real PITA and time waster. If they're going to have a virtual rack why not give it loads of control over combined plugins?

I tried it out and no wicked witch is going keep me away from it!

I agree.

BALLIN'

Not as good as sex, but plug-in wise shifting those effect around gets pretty hot sounds.
