Quick poll: which amp is your favorite, AFD100 or JCM Slash?

---It would be great if there was some way to port iPad guitars through these effects. I can't play a guitar but need some guitar sounds in my band so being able to use something like a Garageband guitar ported through these effects might be killer!

Could you copy the clean/direct (or whichever) guitar sounds and paste them into AmpliTube? You could even bring them back into GarageBand now that AmpliTube supports copy/paste.

---I'm sorry but that's way out of my league, I'm just a keyboard player...LOL

There's talk of OS level internal audio routing coming to iOS6. So we will see...

That would be sweet, but copy/paste shouldn't be too hard. It'd be like triggering samples.

Slash reveals the origins of the Marshall JCM Slash 2555SL amp in this video. The JCM Slash is part of AmpliTube Slash.

I've used JamUp Pro for quite a while now, but I have to admit this impressed me. The tuner alone is worth the $10. My guitar is tuned better (and easier) than it has ever been.....thanks!

The tones on the amps are great, I was surprised by how good the "clean" presets are. I was not expecting that on something with "Slash" on it..... Lots of nice presets, and very professionally done.

Again, IMHO at $10 bucks it's a steal!

Thanks Dewaine!
We are quite confident that most anyone would come to the same conclusion as you have after comparing AmpliTube against any of the competing apps out there.

The AFD100 and JCM Slash are complete models of these signature Marshall amps, and both clean up as nicely as their hardware counterparts. The JCM Slash has a beautiful dedicated clean channel that is fully modeled in AmpliTube Slash, and the AFD100 also is capable of very pristine tones at low gain settings. Both of these models still retain that signature loud Marshall tone even when clean, just as they should.

If it does work that way, I hope you guys implement it. I'd love to run a guitar into Amplitube, swipe to GB and record. I'm not really keen on GB's amp models. They did a much better job with the virtual instruments than the amp modeling.

I'm really liking Amplitube now, and did get the Slash pack. While I've been vocal about the omission of digital input capability in past versions, I'm loving that it's there now.

I still like the 5150 from AmpKit+, as well as the Budda, but for most other things I live in Amplitube now.

polaris20, you were the first person I thought of when I knew this update was really close to release. It got kind of "pulled into" the whole Slash release too but hopefully not overshadowed. There was a lot of good in the AmpliTube 2.5 update and I'm glad you're happy with it.

Oh and I also hope there's that routing flexibility - we may just have to rename the app "AmpliTube Everywhere" if it ends up working that way :)

I'm really hoping it ends up being a Rewire-esque, native utility where I can pipe Amplitube, Sampletank, Loopy HD, etc. all into GarageBand.
