I just had a close listen. Indeed, it's because of the FM modulation in conjunction with pitch modulation. To remove the rumbling, you can reduce either FM modulation or the pitch modulation.kenibu wrote:Can you check my presets. They have some kind of rumbling sound in them. Maybe this is a bug or because of the Pitch LFOs. Don't know. Presets where it is being heard: Doughy Voice, Remarkable Strings. Especially at higher notes.

mhhh of course, a Blank Preset should be completely blank without any points left around.kenibu wrote:When I press the Blank Preset Button, I get those points within the main adsr curve.
Actually I can't reproduce that occurrence, so I would appreciate it, if you could inform me on what system (OS / Host) you are working and which beta version you are using. It would help us to identify the problem and find a solution.

kenibu wrote: I could reproduce it three times now. But it seems to only happen with my presets. These are the steps:
1. Start Curve 2
2. Browse Presets
3. search the author "kenibu"
4. double click / load every single presets once after each other (my test was starting "Buttery Violin" and ending at "Spiky Brass")
5. Go to the edit preset panel and click Blank Preset
6. Click the magnifier icon of the volume EG and the two other EGs and you see those points in their waveforms
I did not make any change to one of the presets. Simply loaded each one after another. Maybe somewhere inbetween this bug comes in.
I use Windows 7 x64, FL Studio 10, Curve 2.0b8 Demo
This is so weird. It seems like certain and very rare combinations of loaded presets results in "ghost points". For example "squeky shaky voice 2" and then "hard deep kick" produces left over points, but if i chose another preset before "hard deep kick" nothing happens. So far I only could get those points with your presets - spooky
We will take a look at that, definitely. Thanks for informing us about that.

Yes indeed, the first bar shows the DC-offset below 20Hz. So actually the second bar represents the keynote frequency. Some other bars are slightly up, because it's not an absolute sinus.kenibu wrote:Why does the harmonic display in the background show me the second harmonic instead of the first? Also the other harmonics are not flat, especially the 4th is a bit up. edit: Is the first bar for that <20Hz frequency which is being created?

Well, we found the problem and we will fix it with the next update. Thanks again for making us aware of that issue.Michael / Cableguys wrote:kenibu wrote: I could reproduce it three times now. But it seems to only happen with my presets. These are the steps:

Just downloaded the Beta and.... WOW!
Couldn't explore much because the drop-down menus don't work. They expand but you can't choose anything.
I was messing around with the first preset only and it's already sold!
W7-64, 32 host for the test. I will try 64 host later.

Glad you like it! Which host did you have the problem with the drop-down menus with?liquidsound wrote:![]()

And sorry for being so quiet lately. Here's what the next beta will ship with (currently fine-tuning):

Makros with flexible drag'n'drop assignment. With a later update we might even allow to assign them to wavepoints.

Create your own versatile macro assignments with our straight-forward drag'n'drop controls.
Discover the best presets from our community, that our preset-designer Jerome will equipe with new macro controls.
Thicken up your sounds, with the new pre-defined Fatness-macro.
We've also improved the preset history feature, fixed two rare bugs with unisono mode and wrong wavepoints, and improved their snapping.
And don't forget: The preset contest is still running and lets you win all plugins we'll ever do.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet (I've not gone through the whole thread), but I'm having problems with the 64 bit version of the VST beta on Mac 10.6.8, in both Renoise and Reaper (the AU versions work absolutely fine). Slightly different problems in both DAWs, but connected to the same thing - the dials.
In Renoise (64 bit), the dials are very, very slow to respond to movement. If I click and move the mouse up or down the dial jumps very jerkily with tiny, jumpy movements, unlike the AU version which scrolls smoothly. This happens with all dials on the interface.
In Reaper (64 bit), the problem is with the dials, but it's not with slow, jerky movements; it's that I can only turn things up! Whichever direction I move the mouse in, all dials will only turn clockwise until they're at maximum, and then they're stuck there. It's very odd! Again though, the AU version works absolutely fine.
I'm loving the new macro controls by the way.

Thanks a ton for reporting! This is news to us. If I remember well, windows pointers (some code details..) are handled differently in AU and in the VST version, which might explain the difference. It works fine here, though. Which hardware do you have, and do you use a mouse or touchpad for this?Morpion wrote:Not sure if this has been mentioned yet (I've not gone through the whole thread), but I'm having problems with the 64 bit version of the VST beta on Mac 10.6.8, in both Renoise and Reaper (the AU versions work absolutely fine). Glad you like them! I must say that was maybe the most fun thing to implement in the last year. Also I am really looking forward to the tweaks our sound designer Jerome does. I guess that not everyone who uploads presets does the extra amount of work to set up macros, but Jerome will help out here and add useful macros to the best community presets. Reaaaaly looking forward to this.Morpion wrote:I'm loving the new macro controls by the way.
