The demo is limited to 40mn long.
After that time you'll have to reload Oxium.
Dont know if the the bug you were talking about Panguin, there seems to be a real bug if when you"re loading Oxium in Live, the init preset is silent.
We'll check that.

About the demo time limit, depends on how you define it.
Seems Oxium times out after 40 minutes, but you can restart it. If the number of restarts is not time restricted (infinite), in some way there is no time limit for use.
Some other VSTi demo's, PPG 3.V springs to mind, has a fixed end date until when you can use it, so that has a finit time limit (but time limit in another meaning). Others have a limited number of restarts, so if you would never have to restart (keep on dreaming....) there isn't a time limit.

Yes, it happens immediately. Didn't use it even for 5minutes, heheLotuzia wrote:The demo is limited to 40mn long.

Hehe, this makes sense! If this is the meaning of "no time limit" they should reflect this in the description and add, that there is a time limitation for 40min for every running instance. Yeah, so it's not a bug, it's a featureAlbert.VST wrote:About the demo time limit, depends on how you define it.

Btw, after Arturia I don't wonder anymore about French developers, very special ideas with product features and representation

Lotuzia! I just tried again, rebooting Ableton Live and it seems to work now just fine!!! I think it was some sort of weird anomaly but it seems the bug is gone

On my lite Live version it seems to work ok, but sometimes Live makes weird things to me (not especially Oxium related ). I put the blame on me usually, beeing a real beginner on this DAW, as I rarely use it and consider myself as a total rookie for tuning it optimising it.

Forgot that i meant to mention one thing.
The current XILS-lab preset manager, even though i can see the logic behind its concept, is not something a person used to standard preset management can get used to easily. On the contrary, no support for the hosts standard preset manager can be a big turn-off to some, therefore offering an alternative in future versions might not be the badest of ideas. I know i would appreciate it.
PS: If i thought it made any sense i would propose the same to Arturia. Exact same concept, (same dev probably), and practically impossible to use with FXPs/FXBs without screwing up the preset lib. Turn-off: Immense.

Tried the demo last night. Very nice sound! I'm really digging the vowel filters and the overall UI design is good despite the UI art fail. I'll definitely be getting this one. I might have found a bug though, before it went silent (a surprise for something that is touted as having no time limit) I got a loud buzzy tone. Is that normal?
I hate to say this, but the people who are complaining about the UI art are correct. Either your UI designer isn't very good, or he was directed to do something that had critical problems. If I had a dollar for every time a client insisted I did something stupid...
Sure, make a "fun" skin if you're so inclined, but the alternate shouldn't be high saturation orange. That color is excellent for accents and meters, but as a main color?
Bad design, plain and simple. Number one rule of UI design: the art should not in any way impede or distract from the functionality.
I design and art UI for a living and if your engineers created such a system that creating a "vanilla" version would be more than a few hours of work for an artist, that in itself is a fail. That's why people are getting prickly about your Laurent's explanation. It doesn't really ring true. If it's bitmaps, swap them. If it's code, do a find and replace on that color value. Either way it's not like you're programming Watson here. It's a VSTi synth. And if it's really a big deal to do, then suck it up, admit your folly and do it. You'll be amazed at how much good will you'll get for admitting a mistake and correcting it.
Anyway, the annoying skins aren't enough to put me off, as at least in the orange one things are clean and uncluttered. The sound is very good and the functionality is at a nice level of interesting yet not overwhelming. This and Diversion are the two best subtractives I've seen since Diva.

As for the explanations about the time/GUI, well these are just reality. I only report them.
