thats a real shame....zebra and alchemy (to name just two) can be skinned, and they are way more complex than this....still, its not the first synth to have a GUI ppl dont like.

I can live with the orange skin but would prefer not too. The 2nd skin i can use at all.

It would probably help if you had a native English speaker proof your stuff before you release it. The manual mentions "spray" several times which usually refers to a liquid. You should probably use "spread," a more general term, when referring to audio. Fortunately, the GUI abbreviates this as "SPR" so no change is needed there.

Let me introduce to you The Duck :

The Duck

100% Oxium with just a limiter on the Master Bus

Runs without freezing anything on Kelvin's CoreDuo Laptop.

For those who don't already know him : Kelvin Ford is one of our violently talented Sound Designers, and the final factory library will include many of his patches

If you do decide to rework the grey GUI, please take a look at the color schema and the knobs on Z3TA+2. Its colors don't cause fatigue and everything is very clear. See how the knobs themselves show the settings in addition to the ring around them:

Neither the black knobs nor the "radioactive" knobs on Oxium indicate the parameter values which is not ideal.

I just thought about some comments on the orange skin and thought about if those users really used it for longer time or if they are just scared by the colour.
I have used the orange skin for many hours during creating presets for the factor sounds and never really found it to hurt my eyes.
The contrast of the background and the labels is also very good IMO.

I have used the grey one only for testing purposes but not for sound design purposes so far. Anyway i agree that those "radioactive" knobs in the grey skin looks a bit strange and maybe should be replaced.
The conclusion is that everyone seems to have a different taste and finding a GUI that pleases everyone should be almost impossible.

I found it very refreshing that there is a synth which does not have that usual grey or black GUI colour and/or a photorealistic GUI.

Anyway i agree that there should be at least a third skin in the final version so everybody should find one which he could use.

I also agree to Laurent that at the momkent until the final release finding and eliminating serious bugs is more important than discussing about the colour of the GUI over several pages.

Yes thanks this typo error was only present in the grey skin. It was correct in the orange one, thans to Stephen Wey ( aMused on Kvr ) who helped us A LOT for all the english mistakes we're familiar with

The manual is proofread by our English editor, Michael. Maybe he did not read the updated parts of it.

seeing as i've mentioned it twice already...

what is up with the Pan knob?

i turn it to the right and the audio goes to the left speaker. turn to the left and it goes to the right. no, my monitors aren't wired wrong.

Woah...! That resonance is mad!!! :D Im so spoiled with good synths these days ........ Great layout! Takes a little to get used to, but that's only minutes.

One HUGE minus though .... thunder is coming from the Danes! So i will have to shut down and pull out every wire and resort to electric guitar... Oh well

I'll be back! :wheee:

Hi Yes i saw it and tested it but it works ok here.

I rewired my monitors last week end so I double checked with now incuding some tests with some other synths like FM8, and well their right/left is like our right left.

Hmm really dont know what could be going on. Could you please perform the test with one init preset Jbuonacc, like the first one init saw, without unisson, and with no stereo spray ?

Great synth!

But how do you expect to sell it when the demo version is so good? :o

I frankly like to spread, and then spray... but not when I'm using a synthesizer.
