Sure, the more I listen to this the more I like it. Listened to the Bitley (Reason only) demos and though it has way more presets none sounded as good to me.

Once you order it, we'll immediately order the download license from UVI and can send it to you within 24 hours on weekdays (we're closed on weekends).

Ordered today, thanks for the link Eric!

I didn't hear anything in there that made it sound worth $200 more than cosmosis' Fairlight CMI IIx library for Kontakt.

So I tried the Cosmosis Library - not impressed

What were you not impressed by, compared to the UVI plugin?

Thought most of the sounds (that I briefly went through) were just blah - like the Bitley sounds which are supposed to be the best. I can't compare Comosis to Darklight as I haven't received Darklight yet - maybe tomorrow. I mean from a gui perspective I don't like Kontakt when a group of sounds uses the native interface. I like (again from a gui perspective) the Seq and Drum module in Darklight. As a former Artificial Intelligence programmer in the 80's, a good green screen really gets me going

Will compare them both more and report back here when I actually get my hands on Darklight.

Zero-G nostalgia delivers the 80's in a more affordable price FYI. Picked it up in a Zero-G sale last year and have been loving the sounds.

HollowSun was the company that did the sampling and they did a stellar job. I imported many of the multis into Live Sampler and been having a ball with them since.

I like HollowSun, will take a look at this - Thanks!

The cool thing about this one is you can just buy Disc 2 for all the 80's sampler and rompler sounds. Personally, I don't find it to sound like what I'm hearing in these Darklight demos but I don't yet have Darklight to do a direct comparison.

Agreed, and Darklight has the Sequencer and Drum machine. Just got email from Zero-G - 50% off selected titles until Monday, which means Nostalgia costs $50

At $50 I would say Nostalgia is a no-brainer.

Steve (of Hollow Sun fame) did a really nice job of putting that together. Though it's a few years old now... I think that it came out when Kontakt was only at version 2. It's a pretty nice smathering of old school type sounds, kind of like a deeper E-mu Vintage Keys Pro. Nostalgia has a little of everything including PPG sounds, 10 sounds from Emulator II and 83 sounds from the Fairlight. At 83 sounds, that might make it a viable alternative to the other Fairlight options mentioned here. It will be especially interesting to see how it compares to Darklight.

C-Note have you received your Darklight yet?
Available on iTunes, Amazon, etc.

No, I cancelled the order and am looking at other options. Still might re-order but the project I wanted Darklight for last week (I used Cosmosis to fill in) is completed.

During the sale Nostalgia is $70, not $50 -- it's an "up to 50% off sale"

I'm still tempted to get it, especially since it's a Kontakt library and I'd much rather work in Kontakt than use UVI's silly alternative. :( :(

It WAS 50% off for email subscribers, but as noted above, that deal ended on Monday.
