Is there a chainer plugin with the following features :
- runs as a 64 bit VST plugin itself
- Loads and chains 64bit plugins (and preferably 32 bit plugins as well)
- Allows free routing
- Lets you add your own knobs/sliders to automate parameters of the chained VSTs
- Stable
- Inexpensive

Thanks :)

The thoughs I've had are Usine, which doesn't give the x64 (its planned but you'll have to watch for it) but is very good for designing your own interface. Oh, and is PC only. Is a free version too...

Then the ddmf one which doesn't appear to allow you to add knobs, but is x64.

So, all in allm, I'm not much help. Have a bump anyway :)

Well Kore 2 does all of that but NI decided not to continue with it unfortunately, despite there being a clear need for such things.

I suppose when there is a completed 64 bit version of MuLab and the Mux plugin that would do it though.

I've seen the odd hint of developers working on modular stuff but not giving very much away. Melda seems to have the mxxx but that seems to just be their own plugins in it.

You could start using Bitwig 2 when they've finished that ;)

I was thinking of EnergyXT, but I try to ditch that thing myself.
(plugin version is onyl 32bit Windows)

Your only alternative in plugin form is DDMF's Metaplugin. But it doesn't add your own knobs and sliders like Plogue Bidule with containers. You can at least control the volume of each plugin however.

Saying that though, it,s still supported kind of, isn't it? And isn't overly expensive on the MP

It allows you up to 100 per instance of metaplugin.

It does have knobs for custom settings? Didn't encounter that one with the demo

I had to go to sleep :)

Does it? Could you provide more information on that please.

As regards Metaplugin, on Cubase 6.5.1 Mac 64-bit.
Has anyone been able to load 64-bit VST plugins into Metaplugin? I can load AU plugins just fine, but when I try to load a 64-bit VST, nothing happens. I did write to Christian about this, months ago, but even the latest update (last April, I think?) doesn't solve the problem for me.
Anyone had any success?
I did get a life,once...but it was faulty, so I sent it back.

There's Mux by Mutools!

It's in beta but right now it seems very stable.
Though calling it a chainer would be rather insulting as it's aims to be a little bit more than that :D
