Connect additional ASIO driver (mLan client) to Cubase host

Hi!

Since the analoge outputs of my Motif XS tend to crackle a lot I would prefer to connect it digitally to my RME Multiface II. Unfortunately, this implies to lock the sampling frequency to the SPDIF frequency of the Motif XS which is 44.1. This is ok for most scenarios but maybe problematic for more ambitious projects...
The Motif XS includes a mLan adapter which makes digital audio format available in a separate ASIO driver. For good reasons it is unfortunately not possible to access data from a second ASIO driver in my Cubase host.
So: what to do? Maybe one solution is to run a second "background application" that open the Yamaha mLan ASIO driver and provides the data e.g. as VST inserts to Cubase (that would be sufficient to me). This may require sampling rate conversion, since I am not sure whether I can change the mLan sampling frequency accordingly. Are there any out-of-the-box solutions avaibable or does anyone have an idea for an easier solution?

Maybe you could use another host and rewire it into Cubase. You could get a cheap second hand Ableton Live Lite, for example.

Try Asio4All in Einstein mode to merge several devices into one big Asio device.

Also that crackling of the analog outputs: that's not normal. Care to elaborate on that? You should look into that issue. If that can be fixed you'd be saved, not?
