Just bought it :)

Btw just noticed the page mentions two different dates for the end of the intro price 30/6 ( top right) and 7/7 (at the bottom of the page) you might want to change and unify that

Any progress? Is there a date for an alpha for pre-orderers?

Almost there, I received an e-mail from Reason a day or so ago saying that this week would be the week, but they've been held up by a few issues that Reason was overly concerned about. He'll be sending a message to all pre-order users (which I'll PM you with) once he gets back on Saturday. I'm flying out the door right now for the next day, but I'll check as soon as I get back in tomorrow :)

I do not understand your communication service.
I do not understand your idea of the deadline.
I do not understand the product download
on my user page(on your website).

Regarding the communication service, what is there to not understand? I e-mail everyone on a regular basis and let them know what is going on. Very simple.

Regarding the timeline, it is an ongoing project, and sometimes there are difficulties in the development process - surely this is not new to you. It's common for projects to go slightly over the deadline, and we are not that much farther over than we projected in the first place. The original estimation was June 30th. We are only about a week past that, and we should have the first version this week at some point.

Regarding the download in your user account - it is a placeholder for when the first version is available. When it is, you'll receive a message from me letting you know that it is so that you can go and download it at your convenience.

Sorry, I know you were the one who we for some reason cannot contact via my e-mails. Not sure why, as I've looked into the e-mail system and there isn't any reason why you shouldn't get them. I've been a little lax with communication to Steven lately, which I apologize for, but I've just been busy with trying to update our repository while I wait for a new version of the Wave Designer project. Shoot me a PM with your e-mail and I'll just get you an e-mail every time I send one to the current pre-order customers. It'll have to come from my personal address though, as apparently you cannot receive messages from our DNR server :)

I've been sending out regular emails to every pre-order customer. Did you not get any of them?

Yeah, I got them. However, the first beta should be released on 23/07, now its 09/07 and still no fix date for a beta :(

Would be nice if you could explain what's the schedule for the next 4 weeks :)

Just to clarify:
I don't want to bother you with insisting on a quick beta! If you say "We need another 4 weeks", than it's fine - as long as you deliver in 4 weeks.
It's just annoying to see that the date for the first beta is 2 weeks overdue and no statement about something new :(

Please try to clarify! :)

Actually, the first version was scheduled for 06/30 (June 30th, 2012). It's now 07/09, so we're just a week and a few days behind schedule, which isn't half bad. I've stayed up to date with all pre-order customers via e-mail, and if you've gotten those e-mails, then you know that I have indeed clarified very definitively that we are just making sure that the formula libraries we're using are properly implemented and working without annoying bugs. I hate when I buy an early adopter's version of some software and it contains extensive bugs. I'd rather not turn my pre-order customers into beta-testers as well :)

Post

Well yes,... for me it was more written like "maybe one or two days delay", but hey, I was just wrong.

Maybe you could clarify how long you need to fix these bugs and stuff to release a first beta.

For me, I don't have a problem to be a beta tester. I'e read the announcement, and it was clear, that you're not releasing a public, "mostly bug free" version within 2-4 weeks! If you provide a buggy beta, I'd have no problem with it ;)

hehe, yes, we will release it even if it has a few small glitches cos hey, it is a long-term project :) I've been in constant contact with the developer and we're confident that it will be out very shortly, but I will of course keep you and the others up to date as much as humanly possible :)

calm down, horses, calm down.... it's ready when it is. there's nothing positive to the development of the product, if you press the developer. in a pressed-rush mistakes will happen. rather wait and give him the time he needs to finish the product in a solid manner. it's not easy to predict when a product will be finished, even if it looks like close to finished, there still can be a hundred issues that pop up right before the end....
