Whatever is in Komplete 9, we know it should arrive about two weeks after the 50% off sale ends...

I'm going to guess Massive 2, FM9, Battery4 and maybe a new product.

Don't they want new customers too? Why just upgrades and crossgrades? Well, I'm gonna get ElectraX then, your lost NI!

Come to think of it, NI have not had a new synth since Massive, and that was well over 5 years ago now. The only new synths have been Reaktor ensembles. They've been focusing on their sampling line quite a bit (Maschine, Kontakt etc.).

I wonder if they'll back into making new synths.

Haven't read the whole thread, but is there any speculation on K9 Ultimate? If so, will Damage and the other new packs (Evolve full?) be included? That would be pretty sweet if the upgrade price was reasonable.

And someone started similar thread about Battery being merged into Kontakt (apparently from JJR forum) and he closed it with reason of spreading hazard rumors..EDIT: wrong i messed something about JJR and link related to this question but the point is same

The thing is, Kontakt has updated a full version both of the last two Kompletes. I was actually surprised to see V5 so soon. I'd be surprised if Kontakt updated yet again already.

I had a VERY similar thought and although I want to take advantage of the K8U sale (I currently have K6) I don't want to upgrade and still be behind. Normally this wouldn't be an issue for me because the last few upgrades didn't change massive, FM8, or battery versions at all (just minor updates). However these are the VSTs that I use the most and would actually value having the newest available versions. I am weary of updating because NI has a habit of releasing things for 50% off (completely new not just upgrades) when they are about to release a new version of their products. They have done this with Razor, Massive, FM8, Kontact (and all of its instruments), as well as battery, reaktor, and absynth. I use most of these soft-synths daily and some of them religiously so I wanted to ask the KVR forums for advice. Would it be worth waiting to see if NI is going to release completely new soft-synths and just upgrade to K9U or take the risk that it won't and buy K8U for half-price?

TL;DR I want to upgrade to K8U but am afraid that Massive 2, FM9, and Battery 4 will be announced in the next few months and will be included in K9U. Advice please!

If you can wait, I'd wait..

The only 'risk' is IF they don't add all the sugary lumplumps like we want.. in that case.. wait another 6-7 months more to get back to to the 2013 summer sale
