Multiple instances of the same MIDI interface

I'm having a problem with Cantabile creating more than 1 instance of my interface. I've got a m-audio fast track ultra and for some reason Cantabile creates a new instance of the device. In the last month it's done it 3 times. In midi options It lists the first 2 as disconnected. It's a real problem as I've got Cantabile sending program change messages to other gear as well as some of the Cantabile controls mapped to another controller. It's kind of a pain to reprogram everything including all the songs in my setlist. Any ideas on how I can fix this would be greatly appreciated!

This is happening when you plug your card in another USB port ... I noticed that in the past. I just put a small sticker on one of the port and always use the same.
By the way I guess that this will be solved in the next version where hardware will be separated from session

I doubt this as this is a Windows driver related issue all midi applications suffer from.pchanez wrote:By the way I guess that this will be solved in the next version where hardware will be separated from session
However port virtualization can help to fix this in seconds keeping your sessions usable.
