This I think is the best way to celebrate 11 (i.e. one more!) years of u-he, and a great way to bridge the gap until we release Zebra3. I'm also very happy that we can finally and officially make these sounds heard

This is all happening so fast
I only bought Z2 a week or two ago.
I sold everything else after I actually allocated some serious demo time.
Now I am often using Zebra for everything. Drums included.
Yes, I am a few years slow, but now I know what time it is.

Urs wrote:We have a quite unusual scheme thought out... Zebra3 will sell "new" for 249$, but the upgrade from Z2 ($199) is 30$. Thus having Z2 gives one a discount and Zebra2 itself. As with Zebra 1.x we'll maintain compatibility of Z2 for as long as we possibly can. We're quite sure that Z1 will still run on Mountain Lion, although only 32 bit, hence we don't think that Z2 will die anytime soon even if it isn't on sale anymore.sqigls wrote:Is Z3 a free upgrade by any chance?
Or is there a grace period?
fingers crossed
At least, this is what we have planned by now. Things can of course change within the next few months...

I have yet to hear anyone other then Urs capable to produce such amount of heat about upcoming product.
It's really exciting and he doesn't even use dirty marketing tricks like most of his competition does..

And what is amazing is that Urs never has done any 'crazy' marketing.
It is always 100% simply the quality of the product(s).
I did find some very tasteful diamond encrusted steins on Google, but maybe I was thinking a little too big.

"Diva filters will be included in the special "Hans Zimmer" Edition of Zebra..."
Scenario:
Zimmer had the prototype of Zebra 3 for use in the new movie...in exchange, he has agreed to provide his specially made patches used in the movies as part of the future Zebra patch set.
Its hard to believe, but that really makes a ton of sense.
Zebra2 "Extra Z Edition™", including Zimmers sounds, released on the day of the movie it was used in.
And if it truly is that big, damn Urs, nice move.
(And no, you cant use 'Extra Z Edition')
edit:
If we get a discount with movie ticket stubbs I am buying Urs a pimp cup.
I said it.

I'd think you don't need permission to make a simple statement of fact.Urs wrote: (still waiting to clear rights to use the names of the films, otherwise we'll have to word it really, really cleverly...)

What about a "ZebraHZ" compatibility switch for Z3? Than you could use all those sounds later in Z3 without any problems.
