My understanding is that they won't be supporting the AAX DSP format (TDM equivalent), but that they will definitely be supporting the AAX native format (RTAS equivalent) and that those should be done later this year.

if you are really going sell the ssl bundle, please let me know...
I spoke too soon - adding up the $150 licence transfer and V8>V9 WUP upgrade fees, I find it highly unlikely I'd make a profit. :o

What do you want to find out with that question? Are you ever going to reply on this thread, or is it going to be another one of those times you ask a question, get all kinds of (mostly pointless) answers and never reply to anyone (like your "how to make Massive sound less digital")?

What's your problem, you have your period? As the question is do you have any plugs from the waves that you enjoy and can not do without. A hole.

KVR: "things are going smoothly, smoothy, people ask questions........then

WHAMMO!

Actually, it's not "kvr" it's forums in general :x

@OP

I only own one, renbass. I love it personally. I'd own SSL too but they don't support reaper and there were a couple of issues when I demoed it. They do make some lovely plugs though and I love that they went x64 and ditched the ilok model.

I seriously have trouble with multiple negatives. Does this mean that you guys can't live without all of them?

"Waves plug which one can you not live without?" kind of equals "I can not live without X Waves plug-in."

X would equal none of them, making: "I can not live without none of them Waves plug-ins," right?

There are kind of three negatives there that would reduce to one, if they were negative about the same thing, which I'm afraid they're not: not, without and none (I think).

I guess the smallest opposite of none is one, yielding "I can not live with one of them Waves plug-ins."

In other words and taken literally, even one Waves plug-in would kill you, kind of like Kryptonite. Or you could live with all of them except one (that you hate or would kill you, etc.)

There are at least two other negative canceling reductions, I think. Like: "I can live with no Waves plug-ins" or "I can live without Waves plug-ins." I guess that's probably what you mean. Similar to the above with less lethal consequences.

Then you get into that whole "could care less/couldn't care less" / "I could give an expletive/I couldn't give an expletive" thing that can either just be wrong for actual intention, or if meant sarcastically, adds another negative/opposite.

Then there's: "I can live with without one of them Waves plug-ins," kind of Mercury + SSL - 1, I guess.

I can't live without not writing about this anymore.

forgot about mpx, that's definitly a keeper, even with Slate VTM around.

"Ass hole", not "A hole". Again, what's the point of your question? Repeating your question again does not count as an answer. Let me help you with examples of possible points:

1. "I want to buy a Waves plugin for some unexplained reason and I want it to be a really good one, so if someone says it's a plugin they can't live without, I may check it out"

2. "I know I'll be getting many different answers, so based on how many times a plugin was mentioned, I'll see if it's worth checking and I'll just disregard the rest"

3. "What I actually want to know is WHY some Waves plugin is so important to someone that they can't live without it, but I won't explain myself, I'll just leave this short question here and again never reply to anyone, whether their reply is detailed or not"
(I especially have a problem with that, by the way)

4. "I'm a major Waves fan and hearing about people who can't live without one of their plugins is something that interests me because it makes me feel good"

5. "I know it easily counts as yet another 'what is the best' thread and I just want to get a bunch of comments here for some unexplained reason"

So do you have a point? If you really think I'm just an asshole, that's fine, at least I got MY point across in here.

I have the same problem. Reality turns into math as soon as numbers or +/- come into play. Fortunately, or unfortunately, people dont think or talk in an even or sensible way. All things are not equal.
Introduce the concept of chronology to your parsing of the string and things make more sense.
Like, first a question was asked. Then an answer, then another, over time. Its not all at once.
I dont know if that makes sense.
Your post made sense to me a litte...
Shy's, well.... :borg:

edit:
Forgot SSL...
That compressor is a bit of magic maybe imo. I dont think its irreplaceable though. That bundle was what $700 when it came out? Meh.....

I'm ignoring all the drama. Back to the original question:

I can live without all of them since I have many other plugins from other companys.

I could also do all my projects entirely with Waves only & get the same great results.
