Very early January (if I'm not mistaken within minutes of the site going live as I happen to have been on when they announced that they were taking signups now and that the site is up, announcement was via FB).

I've just got an email from Bitwig saying beta testing has begun.

Great. Where's my beta link?

Post

I was hoping for the beta invite but since Live 8 64bit came out I don't care anymore no reason to change DAW.

Post

got this as well.

I'm not really excited about bitwig anymore, so I didn't really mind, but I think it's terrible marketing to basically send a mail saying "beta test have begun and guess what... you're not invited! "

:dog:

I signed up on January 12th which I think is the day when sign-ups started. I haven't gotten an invite yet but hopefully soon.

I'm not interested anymore because people are so uptight about cats and the fact that I'm selling 90% of what I own.

So I understand that bitwig is supporting many popular controllers for hardware control. But how are parameters mapped, such as for a selected device? Am I right that there is no parameter reordering or macro functions?

I'm done with most of this garbage. I don't just make 4/4 beats or ambient drones (though I like that too!) I need shit to work. I need things to do as advertised. I no longer care WHY shit doesn't work (I'ma slap anyone who pulls that "user error" bullshit :x ) but things just don't. They have, and I've had wonderful ideas during those times. Hell, I even finished some things! But I'm tired.

There are a bunch of personal reasons too. Gotta get todays list together....have some goodies to add to the marketplace :hyper:

It was my understanding that signing up for their email list/newsletter was the same thing. I don't remember when I signed up for that but it was a long time ago. I did receive an email from them on 5/31/2010, so I must have signed up before that date. Even still, I didn't get an invite, just an email stating the beta testing had started. I doubt they handed out invites based solely on the chronological order of sign-ups though. If they had done that I am pretty sure that I was one of the first to sign up for the letter. Either way I wish them well in their testing.

same here. 2010

I wonder how do they choose beta testers if we applied without sharing our musical background and the hardware and software we used (and maybe still use) in the past.

They have a new type of email that can smell us.

Only "the in crowd" get invites. Anyone who says they are "in", is lying. :hihi:
