The skin looks awesome and I'm getting pretty restless for the audio demos...

Very cool of Hans and crew to offer this out. I'm excited to hear it via demos as well.
Thanks, Urs!

Oh, VariVerb will get an update. The Sam beta team is currently testing V2 which was the last thing I did at Mgx before I left. Completely reworked framework & GUI, improved the workflow and made all algos modulatable now (except the nonlins, which have no 'tail' to modulate).ttoz wrote:i still not sure what it is but i like winning as i only ever won something once before, so i'll take it
hmmmm.... now varieverb will NEVER get updated!
(dig at Sascha)
I'm not aware of precise roadmaps any more, but I guess they'll put it in the Sam patch first, and then the VST. I've built 32 & 64bit versions, and the code was Mac (VST/AU)-ready. colleagues took over there, but I guess we'd have to wait for some latest YT Independence stuff to mature (basically, VV will inherit its unlock/cp framework, IIRC). Was just yesterday that I heard the DSP guys fixed some more bugs (I've left in plenty...) and Roman (YT) will probably take things over partly. It's still a small team altogether (within a huge company...), tons of work at every corner. But Volker (team leader) is very sincere about stability, so I guess they'll release it only when time is right.

I want to say this: I'm absolutely blown away by these presets!!! And I mean totally. What I heard there did touch lots of nerves. Very, very expressive sounds with a lot of depth in the controls.
There are things happening that I didn't hear before in a synth that I played myself. And then I listened to what Urs did with these patches, man...![]()
There are several patches that could do as a soundtrack for certain scenes for minutes alone. And that is because they are so deep, with several layers and tons of expression through Modwheel, Breath Control, Aftertouch and XY Controls.
OK, I stop for now. I'm looking forward to your reactions when you will hear what I'm talking about.![]()
and my mindset is like this
while i am screaming : pick me! picke me! Pick me!
