Why is it called SFZ+ when it reads just SF2 files?

It was based on sfz, which was originally a soundfont player (ie sf2 => sfz).Numanoid wrote:I don't get it, wouldn't it be better to call it SF2+ ?
Rene, the developer, realised it would be useful to create a universal 'open' soundset format, and he named that sfz. Then sfz was updated to play sfz files too. But sfz+ never was.
