It wasn't a personal attack. If you read your original post, you completely backhanded people that enjoy reason. Let me requote you:headquest wrote:Leaving aside the fact that you've left logical argument behind and resorted to personal attack, which is always a sign of losing an argument, the only reason I've been talking about Reason a lot recently is because there are so many threads about it going around. It's a hot topic is all. But you can find me elsewhere here talking in Live threads, Bitwig threads, OT threads, and so on. I'm not just here to bash Propellerhead, even though there are clearly some here who only pop in to promote Reason.drez wrote: headquest, you jumped OFF of Reason yet are one of the top 3 people that are THE MOST vocal about what you specifically DON'T like about it. It baffles the mind.
Your statement about Reason "fans" is as hypocritical as I've seen.
And at the end of the day, whether you like it or not I happen to feel that my opinion is just as valid as yours... I'm genuinely sorry you don't see it that way, because I always thought you to be a fair minded bloke.
I'm guessing from your repeated attacks in various threads that you would rather I would keep quite and cede the floor to the fanboys and marketing engineers, so that they can continue their praise and worship of Reason uninterrupted...
That's not going to happen though, because I personally think it's worth having debates that consist of both sides of the argument. In fact I value that, and often within these discussions I am persuaded by the arguments that others put forward. It comes from being open minded. I guess it's just also that I grew up in a relatively free country where people like to discuss stuff in a balanced way, and I had a schooling where I was encouraged to ask questions and develop critical thinking.
YMMV, obviously. I'm sorry that I offend you so.
I don't care if you keep going on about what you are going on about, but the point is that you backhand with chiding remarks people that enjoy reason for what they consider just as valid reasons as you DISKliking it.headquest wrote: Reason fans are a very vocal bunch. It's quite a cult thing for some of them. And Re is bringing them out of the closet and onto other forums.
It's actually hilarious - after years of saying they didn't want plugins, some of these same Reason fans are on every forum demanding them yesterday! What a bunch of hypocrites, lol.
But they will probably pipe down in a while. I'm pretty sure most of the Re buyers will realise there's no money left in the bank before very long
Now you have the nerve to say I'm personally attacking you? I'm pointing out the hypocrisy of your POST, not your arguments. For you to make disparaging remarks against people that have a different view of you (Reason "fans"). You can say what you want, but your comments about people that enjoy reason and are excited about it fly in the face of how you do the same exact thing from the opposite view point.
I didn't personally attack you in the slightest. I stated the fact. I exchanged "fanboy" for "basher" and the equation resolves. I'm showing that your statement is identical whether you are a "fan" or a "basher". Both are as persistent. You act as if the contrary to your statement isn't possible.
