OK, is this Cubase Artist routing rant justified

I got an update to Cubase Artist 6.5 and I was trying to route stuff after a long-awaited return to using Cubase.

But Steinberg crippled this thing a bit too much. I can't route output bus as input! I don't know why such feature would be crippled. Now I need to pay $250 extra to have that routing scheme? :?

I don't need Halion. I just want to be able to route. I don't like it when it looks like they artificially subtracted features just to have a cheaper version out.

Wondering whether I should return this version and pay extra to upgrade to full version... But I can't return it, can I? :(

I don't know about the routing thing but I do know that Cubase Studio 5 has batch export whereas Cubase Artist 6 doesn't. I presume you are right, that Steinborg removed it to make the full price of Cubase 6 seem more valid.

Are you talking about this for purposes of sidechaining? I ran into this but found that you can still route the bus for these reasons with cubase artist 6.5...

Just at the right moment. I am trying to sidechain but of course it's not optimal. Could you share how you get it done?

It can be done with Steinberg plugins, but for VST2, not sure how it gets done.
