My iPad is a 16GB model, so size is at a premium. I'm finding it more and more important to justify every byte of space on my tablet. Does anyone know the full size of Sampletank on the iPad, when all expansions are purchased and installed?

I know that Sampletank Free is taking about 1GB on my iPad. Is that the full installation size of the software, and in-app purchases just unlock material that is already there; or is there more that would have to be downloaded when purchasing the full version and also all of the in-app add-ons? ....and if so, what is the full size?

Thanks to all in advance! :-)

The app size is 1 GB regardless of what you have purchased.

Nice! So it comes with everything already in it, and if I purchase everything, it just unlocks it, and I don't have to actually worry about downloading more? That's really good to know! Thanks!

Yup, When you purchase something inside of SampleTank iOS it simply unlocks the sounds already on your iOS Device.

That's good to know. My space is at a premium on my iPad, and while I like Sampletank for iOS, I wasn't sure I wanted to try to use up any more space (since I have so little space left even now). :-)

By the way, What are your upgrade plans for this app? White Noise Audio have made some observations about this program that I would hope to see taken care of in the future. His observations regarding OMAC compatibility are:

No virtual ports, connects automatically to other apps (may be a problem in some cases) Automatically uses channels 1-4, no way to configure. UPDATE: I'm pretty sure this app was working before, but today I was completely unable to get channels 2-4 to play anything from Genome. Also had frequent crashes. Changing this one to 'not recommended' for now.

Also, are there any plans for Audiobus?

Thanks,

We have already submitted a new update to Apple and are waiting on approval. No Audiobus at this point but you can select which sound is assigned to what MIDI channel and a few other needed updates. We'll let you know as soon as it is approved.

Cool, I think that will solve my midi problems.

Any chance of getting a preview/feature list for upcoming update?

Looking through the IK site, can't figure: is there any kind of MIDI editor (piano roll etc) inside SampleTank iOS??

Nope. Though it works with Genome, which is awesome in that capacity.

Not yet, but you can record your MIDI performance directly.
