Thank You spacedad and to all for the welcome back hello's  to all. You will never guess that I am still on the netbook as quite literally not had more than 20 minutes here and there time wise/chance to setup the new laptop  typical my luck. Kids finish for summer holiday on thursday so if not before I'll get it done then and be back in touch properly/consistently

RunBeerRun, building up your own dirt boxes is both really satisfying and also You realize that all these ridiculously priced 'boutique' overdrives are just slight variations on a bloody simples TS-808  Fuzzes are different but the 'boutique' expensive shit is just all tweaked Tonebender based and regarding Distortions perhaps the hardest to get to sound really good I find when building one's own but still I had a close friends whom has built over the years I wouldn't even like to guess but easily into three figures number wise managed to make what is in my opinion an awful pedal, The Boss DS-1 sound useable which I actually can use no and again, Proco Rats and MXR Distortion+ are the more easier area than the modern high-gain beastly type dirt pedals. I doubt someone like Yourself will regret it at all, Brother Jimi has got proper hooked after downloading the whole internet and it is keeping you out of trouble ain't it bro? Build 'Em All \m/ If there is one all must do its a Clon Centaur clone, Just knowing that You have a pedal which go for easily a grand and above on ebay for example PMSLMAO which you put together for less than 20/30 quid, maybe less depending on what parts You might already have is a good feeling. It is a great OD also and not a TS-808 clone FWIW, I think You've built one two haven't You J?

Cheers :D

Dean
hi dean,
yah, i've built like 3 or 4 versions of the klon centaur now. it is most certainly NOT a tube screamer or a fuzz! it sounds like a marshall right on the edge of breaking up, wicked useful. i have one on my live board, it's my go-to overdrive. added an extra switch to double the gain if i need more of a distortion.

i am hopelessly f**king addicted...must be around 50 units or more i've built now.

it's insane..

my name is jimi, and i'm an addict...

Actually not quite.

You still pay for the magazine (5EUR with back issues, 9,90 EUR for the current BEAT Synth special) and need to "order" a serial number to activate the plugins. Else you don't get it otherwise.

So it's not free, but reupped for the masses regardless.

Well, it seems I got everything, installer and serial number, just by going on the Waldorf website and giving an email address without having to pay for anything but unfortunately all the three plugins crash on my outdated system. :(

Well, they seem decidedly ordinary to me, so I'm looking for some Teland stuff instead. There's about half a dozen that I never caught but I have got these;
Teland 100
Teland 101
Teland 202
Teland 302
Teland 303
Teland 808
Teland jingle

THen this pisses me off even more that I paid THREE TIMES for this with the Beat Magazine by now (along with other crap) while others can simply access it for "free".

Well, at least I can say I got it through "legit" means and not just writing down a homepage from the magazine at a store.

Thanks a ton! :dog: :nutter:

maybe some you don't have?

thanks spacedad, I have them but didn't realize some were teland. The ones I mean are listed here: http://www.gersic.com/plugins/forum/vie ... sc&start=0.
a couple will probably be no go for obvious reasons.
