Hi Jacob - it happens with both a mouse and the trackpad on my Macbook Pro - I've not tried with any MIDI controllers yet but I'll let you know what happens with them when I get home tonight.
Something I've just noticed now, which might help with troubleshooting. The problem only occurs after the transport status of Renoise has changed; ie. if you insert the plugin when the transport is stopped, then the dials move fine. When you press play the jerky quality immediately occurs. If you stop the transport the jerky quality remains.
If the transport is playing when you insert the plugin, its dials move smoothly until you stop the transport, then the jerkiness happens. If you press play again, it stays jerky.
I've just tried the same thing in Reaper but it makes no difference whether it's playing or not, any dial I touch just scrolls all the way to the right.
EDIT: I've just noticed that the Renoise problem IS actually happening with the AU version too. I just mustn't have changed from stop to play or vice versa when I was testing it. I can also add here that the problem goes away if you close and reopen the interface.
EDIT 2: RIght, something weird is going on here... I've just opened my original Curve v1 VST and AU versions in Renoise and Reaper, and the same thing happens with them (it only happens with the VST in Reaper). Because of this, I'm going to make a prediction and say that my MIDI controllers will work fine with the Curve2 beta, since I always use Curve with my SL Mk2 and I've never noticed this behaviour before. Does anyone else in this thread use Renoise or Reaper on Mac (64 bit versions)? Can you confirm this behaviour or is there something on my system that's flipping out??? I've disabled all potential MIDI sources and I can't think of anything else that could be conflicting...

Wow, indeed, I've also just tested with MacBook Pro and Reaper 64bit - same issues here. We'll look into it on Friday, hope we'll have a fix for you then!Morpion wrote:Hi Jacob - it happens with both a mouse and the trackpad on my Macbook Pro..

Just downloaded the latest beta, synced up the presets, and played around a bit. Looks like it's coming along nicely.
It seems like there was a lot of interest in adding modulation of LFO amount for the purpose of pitch vibrato, but I didn't see a single preset yet that made use of that. I gave it a try myself, but came up short. I fiddled with the amounts in the mod matrix for Aftertouch, LFO1 Amount, and Pitch, but never came up with the right combination. Not sure what I'm not getting right.
Since this was kind of a big deal to implement, I'm surpised the developer hasn't done at least one preset to show it off, in the absence of any user presets tackling it. Any chance for that?

The drop down issue was with the computer at work only. Now it's just fine and for the macros I need to take this weekend off and get creative.Jakob / Cableguys wrote:Glad you like it! Which host did you have the problem with the drop-down menus with?liquidsound wrote:![]()

Just downloaded the Beta and.... WOW!
Couldn't explore much because the drop-down menus don't work. They expand but you can't choose anything.
I was messing around with the first preset only and it's already sold!
W7-64, 32 host for the test. I will try 64 host later.
And sorry for being so quiet lately. Here's what the next beta will ship with (currently fine-tuning):
Makros with flexible drag'n'drop assignment. With a later update we might even allow to assign them to wavepoints.
Awesome and very clever touch. I got the bundle and I can't wait for v2 look.
Midishaper is a little obscure without a minimum manual. I couldn't find the video on Reaper and I can't get it to work in Studio One yet. The volume shaper is my new side chain compressor

Concerning MidiShaper, we have tutorials on the MidiShaper website. But I admit we need to add more host sequencers here.

You're absolutely right here.. I'll ask our new preset designer Jerome to add some presets that make use of LFO amount modulation.dreadnought wrote:Just downloaded the latest beta, synced up the presets, and played around a bit. Looks like it's coming along nicely.

Yes! I guess we'll tell the planned release date pretty soon. There's still well time for the preset contest.___loser wrote:just wondering, is there gonna be some type of warning for the deadline at some point?
I am glad that we have some really great presets. Improving presets from other users is great too and also qualifies for prizes, for both the original author and the one improving it.

Just had a quick play with the latest beta... umm, no way to route modwheel or aftertouch to start at no vibrato and then add vibrato?Jakob / Cableguys wrote:You're absolutely right here.. I'll ask our new preset designer Jerome to add some presets that make use of LFO amount modulation.

Hey Kenibu, kenibu wrote:The macros are a really good ideaBut I noticed when I load the preset "Sad Drone". Play around with the macros and then load the preset "Huge Fuzzy Choir 2". Then the "Huge Fuzzy Choir 2" is not being loaded/sound correctly. It seems to still have some settings from the other preset not overwritten. If I then switch the "Sad Drone" and back again the settings are fine again.
thanks for your feedback. I experienced the same problem. We'll have a closer
look on it to fix the problem.
Cheers,
Jerome

Hmm I just had a look. The left one is quieter, and the right one is louder, which is as we intended it to be. Would you expect it the other way round? Or maybe it was wrong in an earlier beta?kenibu wrote:Don't the ratio values below the crossfade have to be the other way around?
If you look at the screenshot, you see the left value says 32. And the right value says 68.
But if you look at the wave selectors. Then the left one is the one with 68 and the right one with 32.
Also the crossfade knob visualises it that way.
I am sorry that the current beta expired today. So we've just fixed some work-intensive bug with Mac OS X 64bit and will upload the next beta later today (will have a little break now).
