Hey what do you think if/when I update my desktop can you use the GPU integrated to i7 quad core, or should you use external one? I have Radeon 5450, I could use that one, and it has been proven to bee good to DAW usage. I just thought that maybe the more simple configuration the better.
But in DAW you want to turn Aero off, and not too many graphics adapters there with good non-aero drivers. 5450 should have good ones, how about HD4000....?
Intel HD 4000 or Radeon...?

I have i7 2700k with hd 3000 in it, and it can handle everything, from DAW works, Windows aero, or watching 1080p films or higher without any negative effect to the system performance. HD4000 should be much more powerful than that, so you won't need any extra card, which could make noises, or in bad cases also can affect the latency.
