I've written an email to the support of Falke-Media at the weekend, and today I got the new link with the correct file. Now everything is working fine... :)

There is that, but also mac testers are crap. Many turn up but very few do the job

Of course, if this was NI you wouldnt get any support for freebies. Be patient.

Wow! So far I didn't get any functionning zip files. I keep trying but the link doesn't even load anymore, it's getting worse... they should put up a mirror because right now I can't even download the Zampler update nor that freebie pack... I want them!

Most of the feedback in the thread seem to be about dl not working, or plug not working. Some who get it down and get it to work however dont want it after all. Funny world :-D

that's because Mac forces them to buy a new product which none of their old
accessories are compatible with ;) (forget the evil empire of MS...)

download worked for me. what an excellent giveaway!!!!!!

i wonder if we could harass Richard into allowing patterns of more than 512 steps?
max 9999steps!!! then we'd be in Notator territory.

Did you get the email with a new link apologizing for the old failed link?

You mean in Orion? You can set the pattern length to anything, its never been a max if 512. You can ever record live and it auto expands.

I registered three times & never got that particular email...

Maybe I was just lucky but I had no problems at all downloading with Firefox. Got it in a couple of minutes.

Anyway, that was a few days ago and I've had a chance to give the synths a quick try...

1 - DUNE - Fantastic... I love it.

2 - JUNGLIST - Also very good. I like it a lot.

3 - DIRTY HARRY - Very good but maybe not for me - 'maybe'.

4 - NUCLEUM - Interesting... Nothing special though.

5 - KICKLAB - Also nothing special. Drumatic is better.

6 - TWISTED SYNTH - Total waste of time in a very nice GUI.

Haven't used any in a project yet, but I'm looking forward to giving 1, 2 & maybe 3 a good workout.

Number 6 has already been deleted and 5 will probably be next to go. I might give number 4 another chance... Hmm... We'll see.

Finally...

A BIG THANK YOU TO BEAT MAGAZINE

CHEERS :)

Well, my offer is still good to do the download for you if you need it. I disabled my email because I assumed that they had fixed the problem. I can do a few more if people are still having trouble.

If you decide to take me up on the offer, please read the instructions carefully a few pages back. I know that it sounds pedantic, but I will not simply send you my file, I'm only offering to perform "your" download for you. It may or may not work, but it has yet to fail on my connection.

I don't quite get Junglist, the presets sounds cheap and thin, are they just badly programmed, is this synth capable of more?

There are so many synths to choose from now that I don't bother going under the hood if the presets included don't cut it.
