Is anyone using one of these?

At first glance it appears to be a 30-pin pass through dock extender with a microUSB port which you can use to charge your device while some other hardware is connected to your dock port (through the extender). I don't know if it's compatible with the CCK or CoreAudio or not.

Is anyone using one of these?

Read down in the reviews on Amazon and found this:
If you have an iPad, beware! If you try to use it with some newer accessories (like newer audio recording accessories designed for the iPad or the Apple Camera Connection Kit for iPad), it's useless. With these accessories, the accessory will only work when the adapter is connected to a charger, but the iPad *STOPS CHARGING* when you connect the the accessory! With these accessories, it's nothing but an extension connector that must be plugged in, but doesn't actually charge the iPad! You're much better off buying a short extension cable if you just need an extender.

By design the CCK is meant to power devices you plug into it. So by design that negates charging the iPad when using the CCK. Only Apple can change this and only with a new version of the CCK. It's up to them.

So the Camera Connection Kit seems to be ruled out, but what about audio devices that connect directly, such as the Apogee MiC or Jam? Anyone tried the DockStubz extender with one of these?

I emailed CableJive about the CCK compatibility issue and got a reply back within a few hours. It was pretty detailed, and since it may answer your question, I'll post it here:
Our dockStubz adapter currently allows for power injection when using "passive" 30-pin accessories, that either do not draw power from the iPad, or that do not utilize the USB data pins (like HDMI cables for instance). However, for setups like the Camera Connection Kit which are USB "slave" devices, when it starts to use the power and USB signals from the bottom 30-pin connection, the micro USB connection on the side is dropped. We were only recently made aware of this issue from other Camera Connection Kit users.

When we designed the power-injection functionality on this dockStubz adapter, it was before these new USB "slave" accessories we as prominent as they are now. The cut-off of USB signals from the micro USB port was originally designed as a safety feature, so power wouldn't be fed in from 2 sources at once. Currently whichever port power is provided from first is the one that is used, unless USB signals dictate a switch.

We are currently working with our manufacturers to find a proper fix to this issue, but we have no current timetable for the release of a solution. When we do have an available solution, we'll be sure to announce it on all our website and social media channels, so be sure to check back from time-to-time for updates.
So my guess is that if it draws power from the iPad, the iPad won't charge from the microUSB port. But that aside, I have to say I'm impressed with CableJive's customer support -- I got that detailed answer back like I said within just a couple of hours!
