"We found evidence of a progressive homogenization of the musical discourse," Serra told Reuters.
This just in! Supercomputer provides evidence that 2 + 2 = 4!

Who is this Einstein, and why is he wasting public funds that Spain doesn't have?

Seriously, he could have done a 1000 person freaking poll across a few internet message boards and tallied up the same damn result.

Oh, and this:
The study, which appears in the journal Scientific Reports, offers a handy recipe for musicians in a creative drought.

Seriously, dude?! What the hell is his problem?!?! Please, get a real job, help your nation's struggling economy...

BTW, even this is nothing new, that's what DJ Novum from Groove Coverage has done all over the time since the 90ies. He used the MIDI of some 80ies songs and wrapped them into new pop-dance-versions.

Not to my taste, but I must admire the success (and money) he had...

OTOH, I know many good artists whose songs are not sounding the same, for example Gotye or Foster The People... :)
The singer of Gotye sounds like Sting and Foster The People are a watered down version of the band Broken Social Scene.

Nah, I've seen how old most of the guys are here and they're only old enough to be your grandfather if you happen to reside in the southern US. ;)

Except only digital is cold. Don't you know that analog is so extremely warm? Maybe it should be called the cold war(m).
