some "oddities" with 2064 [partly solved]

Hi,

I downloaded the latest build (2064) and observe some strange behavior with old sets. F.e. there is a setup with a VB3 Hammond VSTi where the pedal inside the plug was controlled by an external MIDI-Pedal (CC). Now the pedal is suppressed for some reason althoug there is no filter (suppress events) in any MIDI path. Instead the pedal is now controlling the volume of another plug which is definitely not routed to the pedal...

Another strange thing: formerly I had to create a global filter on Global input to turn any prgram / bank changes into pure program changes (Suppress CC0/32). Now I obviously get this behavior without any filter.

Anybody here with similar findings (or an explanation)?

Thanks in advance, humphrey :o

Hey there Humphrey,
I did have something similar on the VB3!
In this case it was a fader that refused to hit the 16' drawbar. All the others worked - I could not fathom out what had gone wrong. In the end I used Cantabile's own mapping to re-assign the drawbar and then forgot about it :)
I'm gonna take another look.

Hi pinkcanaru,

the little word "re-assign" made me think about the scenario and so I got it fixed at least: last time I saved the setup before update I obviously did an assignment to control the volume of my DIVA vsti (it was more or less a test).

As the signal of DIVA in general is extremly hot, controlling the internal volume of DIVA leads to strong distortion. So I fixed the internal volume at a lower level and instead made an assignment to the gain fader of the rack channel.

For some reason I must have copied this assignment to the mentioned VB3 scenario. The result was: instead of controlling VB3 the assignment "grabbed" the pedal information and controlled the volume of DIVA (which was only routed to another keyboard). At first glance this looked like a non visible not wanted routing.

Nevertheless there is this program change left (which is o.k. but a bit annoying as I was pretty sure I had to use the suppress event Filter to realize this).

However, many thanks for your help,

kind regards, humphrey :)
