Synth Magic release ZED (now renamed ZED80) for Kontakt

Hello all,
I have released a new instrument which utilises sounds sampled into a FZ-1 sampler which has added it's own sonic stamp on the sounds.The sounds are from my personal collection that I have made over the decades of owning an FZ-1 sampler and endless sessions with lots of drum machines, classic vintage synths and lots of oddball machines that I have come into contact with over the years. The sounds have made use of the great filter of the FZ-1(which is an analogue filter). All sounds were then resampled through vintage valve pre-amps and mapped into Kontakt.

A custom GUI allows easy tweeking and 300 preset nki's are supplied to get some musical adventures going straight away.
Sample library size is just over 1GB compressed to NI's format.
Effects section has a large selection of custom IR's for the convolution reverb.

Hundreds and hundreds of great drums from various drum synths all sampled over years of owning an FZ-1. The drum sounds are pure grit and have a depth to them similar in vibe to the classic Emu sp1200.They are all arranged into kits selectable from a drop down menu from the GUI.
There are also lots of other samples all arranged and selectable from the drop down waveform menu :-

Beautiful pads and strings.
Percussion.
Pianos.
Rhodes.
Werli's.
Organs.
Old skool rave sounds.
Dance pianos.
Dance sounds.
Choral sounds.
Breathy 80's synth sounds.
Massive list of sounds.

All sounds are loaded into kontakt at the same time and a easy to use drop down menu allows for easy selection of samples.
Samples are streamed off disk so small memory footprint.

If you make any sort of electronic music there is something for you in this library of sounds.
Perfect for New wave/Depeche Mode John Foxx type music, film scores, Boards of Canada/TRS-80,M83 type tracks, dance music, Calvin Harris, Chemical Brothers, Orbital etc.

Only the supplied presets and effects have been used to make the demo's and all the drums are from this library.

***UPDATE****This old GUI has now been replaced with a new GUI by Flavours of Lime and a new batch of samples has been added to the existing samples.
Product now comes with over 300 presets included.

Yeah great stuff again! Somehow most other instruments like this that have been sampled from analogue synths etc fall short for me in sound quality and playability. I mean it just doesn't sound very convincing even though the samples are from the real things. I don't know why that is actually... But with Synthmagic the playability is great and the sound is just awesome!

This is a treasure trove! Instant inspiration. Just loading a preset and then browsing the waveforms (upper rh corner) can keep you happily busy for hours…

yeah, sorry to say but i agree. it would be great if all the synths had a GUI to the par of Digital Love Child, that one looks yummy.

I am actually in the process of updating ZED with more samples and presets and have been working on the update for about 5 days as well as other projects that are on the go here.

Flavours of Lime is making a GUI for it.
The new version of the library will have lots more samples, more presets and a new custom GUI.

Yes, I love Digital Love Child's GUI too, I like all his designs and not just the designs he creates for me-Flavours of Lime is a very talented designer.
