Nope. If I just randomly try doing a proper bend at lets say 15th fret it chokes rather quickly. It was set up reasonably well so I doubt it was that.

That behavior is more expected with the neck radius of the Stratocaster(is it 9.5"). Strange that 12" neck does that.

It could be string action setup, maybe?
I usually set string action from what top frets allow first - that is the lowest you can go.

Then adjust truss rod, then adjust nut slots, then possibly raise string action if needed for playing all all over the neck, then intonate.

Unlikely, but possible. I think uncle e stated this was a batch problem possibly?

Koreans actually make good guitars but USA made is gonna have a higher resale value.

With little exception Korea can make as good a guitar as anyone else. However when it is a stateside company designing it they are often downgraded (tuners, pickups, finish) Both as a cost consideration and as an attempt to bolster the nameplate (washburn etc) nameplate

What's odd is that the downgraded godin's are the american made ones. It's all about Co-branding. I love my samick s I've had about 10 thru the years but the audience is more interested in brand names they recognize.

I've got this Raven West guitar, Designed in the states built in Korea that looks and sounds great. Although I wished they would have polished the frets it's beautiful. People look at it, listen to it think it's great until they take a closed look at the headstock and say "Hey that's not a prs"

Godin guitars are all made in Canada, with some assembly in New Hampshire. Nothing in Korea.

Best made acoustic guitars in the world are Spanish most expensive too. However some would argue that the US has the best acoustic guitars. Research a bit on Jose Ramirez Guitars and you will find out about the Spanish guitar making legacy.

If you find the origins of an instrument usually you find a master craftsman from the same place.

Piano= Italy

I didn't state Godin;s were made in Korea. I simply stated that the less expensive godins are made (assembled) in the states.

I have three Godin's currently and have had others in the past. My Freeway states Assembled in USA. The LR Baggs and the Multilac ACS SA are made in Canada.
