Military quickstep dub.
It's great - you have a minutes worth of frenetic marching snares and then throw in a note every now and then, with 99% feedback on the delay. When the tweeters have stopped shredding, you do the marching bit again.

'S funny...most of my fans seem to be bipolar though.

I don't have a genre, as far as I can tell. I also haven't quite managed to emulate my inspirations consistently, so I don't know I have a favorite style to create. I have favorite methodologies but lately haven't experimented with them much at all. But it's ok not having a genre. I'm not trying to market myself. It's only a problem when I have to set those tags in SoundCloud.

Oh edit,
Im 'a House Music guy' really.
I did/do that, and some hip hop type stuff mostly for other people.
But, a handful(?) of years ago I was inspired by an Eskmo track, had a crack at something dubby/breaky/slow, and cant give it up.
For sound design, its a playground with far fewer "rules" than even House Music.
Weird part is that since Ive been doing it "Dubstep" has grown into something I sort of hate as a sound.
I will continue making it, or at least the 'classic' version of it, but I will be putting out House again before the end of the year with a collabo.

Genre is the last thing on my mind when creating music. Seriously, just try getting the seed of an idea and asking it what it wants.

That isn't to say my music is so 'liberated' as to be free from category, but I prefer broad categories and stylistic influences rather than genres.

Pop Jazz. In my head, I'm a trained musician, and, I like to think, a better player than the average 3 chord pop star. (Note: this is all in my own head. There is no basis for objective comparison in there. And, I do not mean to disparage 3 chord rock stars, or, for that matter, rock stars in general. They obviously have something I don't. It just makes me feel better to think that it's not talent.)

Now, as good a player as I like to think I am, I don't for one second think I'm good enough to stand on a stage with your average jazz player. I love jazz, and aspire to write and perform intricate and sophisticated pieces that make grown men weep and women swoon. (Again, this is all in my head. Clearly a cluttered and confusing place, even without all the hand-wringing over music genres.)

The result of this confusion is a poppy-jazz kind of confection that I've become rather adept at creating. So, while my art may not satisfy purists of either genre, I've resigned myself to become the absolute best in the world created by the shotgun marriage of the two.

Typical instruments are burgers, sandwiches, pasta, etc.

My favorite music to make is wildly different to my favorite music to listen to
(In essence, I love making horrid music, and hate hearing it afterwards)
So when I really work on a project, it tends to be the bad side of whatever I love listening to.

Or something.
