Thanks for the tip, but in many ways operating within limits is often better for the output.

I only got Ableton Live LE, but still it comes with tons of loops and presets, enough to get lost in for a couple of months at least. My conclusion after having problems importing VST, was why do I even need to import more stuff into it, when there is already so much to play with?

The reason I posted in the first place is that the title of this thread implicates that SampleTron/Tank is buggy software, but one also needs to take into account the DAW one is using.

I've never had problems with either SampleTank/Tron in FL Studio. The only problem is the tiny GUI.

Yes but when one specific plug-in crashes 100% of the time in a host on one platform when it is deleted, it is almost certainly a bug with that plug-in. I could be wrong I suppose, but I didn't hear anything to the contrary when I brought it with IK support. They simply told me to use SampleTank instead, which is fine with me. So I assume it's a known reproducible bug that they don't want to bother fixing since there is a workaround.

Sounds like it is a bug then if they have a fix so readily to hand that resolves it. Will keep that in mind if I have problems.

What do the terms "rev", "sus" and "vel" mean at the ends of the preset names? How do they work? :D

Isn't that what they call variations on a theme?

Yeah, hard to tell the difference, only thing I notice is some variation in the volume level of the presets :?
